Goliic picks Dalllas too win the East. Clayton says "The Cowboys have to be the favorite." They all agree it'll be tough for the 'Boys to get home field advantage because the East is so strong and the 'Hawks and Bears are head and shoulders the best in the West and Central.

Cowboys "Two a Day" coming up at 9:20 EDT (ESPN2 and ESPN Radio).

Could be, but I wouldn't put money on it. What I would put money on is playing in a tough division making teams better, batttle-ready for the playoffs.

That may not be such a bad thing.

I see history repeating itself.

Remember in the 90s when the Eagles, Giants, Skins and Cowboys were the class of the NFC. After winner of the East beat up on each other all season, they were able to whip whoever emerged out of the West (49ers) and Central (Green Bay) because those teams too had weak conferences and the winner of the East was already battle tested.

The 92-93 Cowboys were perfect examples. Even though we didn't have the home field advantage in the NFC Championship Game we went into then Candlestick and whipped up on the 49ers.

The 90-91 Giants did the same thing against the 49ers at Candlestick.

So I really wouldn't worry about home field, though it will be nice. When you go against the best, it only makes you stronger.

Please, don't be deceived by preseason.

Besides, Gibbs is about as bad a poor-mouther as Parcells.

The Skins will be ready come opening day.

It's pre-season and their HOF Head Coach just called them out. Expect them to respond. Or does last year's 5 in a row to finish the season escape your memory already? That's a good team with a competent coaching staff.

I agree. Way too much stock being put into preseason results.

I have a feeling the Eagles, as well, aren't going to be the pushovers everyone thinks they'll be.

provided they are healthy.

last season they started really slowly but caught all the breaks winning games by a point here or there when they did win early.

now last half of the season the team was opening up the offense with Moss and Portis getting in the open field and teams couldn't do anything against their defense. they were a very good team by season's end.
