Safe money may be on the Cowboys selecting a WR at some point in the draft based on the WRs they've been scheduling interviews with (clearer picture will come after Valley Ranch visits).

From what I've read they've spoken with the following WRs:

Dede Westbrook
K.D. Cannon
Mike Williams
Shelton Gibson
Amaroh Darboh

Some folks seem to have insinuated the Cowboys have met with John Ross, but I haven't read anything to substantiate that.

One of these guys may eventually replace Dez. Westbrook would be a substantial improvement over Williams in terms of catching the football. I'm not sure about his blocking ability. Westbrook might be a little bit like a poor man's Antonio Brown..

I liken him to Marvin Harrison.

Westbrook looks weak to me. Out of those names I'd want all of them over him. Williams and Gibson by a wide margin.

Weak as in not strong? That's probably fair. He doesn't compare to Dez in that category. That's for sure.

Westbrook may be as good of a receiver as Sheppard (Giants) was last year. He is pretty ******* elusive though.

Yes, as in not strong. If you're that weak you need some height or elite speed. I don't think he has elite speed like a Desean Jackson. I think he'd get punked in the NFC east honestly

Maybe. But I thought Sheppard might be viewed the same way last year and that didn't happen.

If you really value blocking ability out of your number two he probably wouldn't be the best pick high in the draft, but the dude gets open .....a lot.

Sheppard is more compact and quick. I don't view him the same as Westbrook.

Wouldnt be surprised to see one in the first two rounds, with the first round being a strong possibility. Potentially losing two of the top 4, and with Dez having 3 years left on his deal and on the opposite side side of 30 when its up they may look to have a #1 type developed when that happens

That would be ideal, but I'm not sure that any of these guys would be an ideal number 1 receiver.

No big deal. I'm just not a fan of Dede.

It is really hard to know how a receiver will translate to the NFL, regardless of their size, speed, etc. I really thought Kenny Stills would be a really good receiver but so far he has underperformed compared to what I thought he would.

I wonder if they'll meet with zay jones and cooper kupp, those are the receivers I really want.

Dallas has met with 7 of the top 25 WRs so far.

Pretty safe to say they are taking one in the first three rounds.

I wonder if they haven't met with Zay yet because they already know him through his dad.
He would be a home run in any interview anyway. No risk character or drive issues at all.

I'm starting to wonder what is his weakness. Maybe strength?
He seems to have it all except maybe brute strength
