Dallas Cowboys personnel will be in Georgia on Wednesday to have a look at University of Georgia QB Aaron Murray during his pro day. Among the Cowboys staff in attendance will be quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson.

Aaron Murray sustained an ACL injury in college so this will be a good chance for the Cowboys to evaluate his strength and movement.

“I just can’t tell you how amazing it is — his knee is almost completely healed,” Gruden told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday. “He’s going to be ready to go for training camp. I don’t think there’s any question.”

Tony Romo is 33 and fresh off back surgery after several injury riddled years. This undoubtedly has left Dallas fans eying talented and coachable young quarterbacks in this years NFL Draft. The jury is still out on whether the Cowboys have it in mind to start grooming Romo’s eventual replacement but with only a few more years likely for the aging starter, you have to think Garrett and Jones are keeping their eyes open.

Here’s hoping he has made the progress of late reports rehabbing his knee.

I want to grab either JFB or Murray. I'm concerned about his age when Romo goes down or retires in a year or 2. He's gonna be 24 already

I would like a QB prospect with better size and a cannon for an arm. It would be nice to have a deep passing threat in the offense. Considering his draft position and the low investment, Murray may be a good option.

If his rehab goes well and he has a good pro day, he could go higher than the 3rd...this will be interesting to watch how he moves up or down the draft boards based on his pro day

24 is young... I'd rather have my QB be that age anyways as opposed to a young rookie. Means he's been around longer and is likely more seasoned.

I understand what you're saying. I like Murray so don't think I'm bashing the guy as he is the only other QB I really want in this draft. I am just concerned about his age if he has to sit for 3 years it would be a waste. If we drafted someone who was 22 then 3 years wouldn't be bad. JMO of course
