The big news? No more T.O. in Big D. Now the fun part; could the Cowboys possibly face Terrell Owens this coming season? If so, then which team on the schedule could you see T.O. playing for?

2009 schedule:

Giants - Even though some of Burress's teammates want him back, that may not be the case. Plus, Goodell could suspend Burress for some games. T.O. and his agent could make a play for the G-men, and an opportunity to play Dallas twice. [70% chance]

Eagles - Donovan and T.O. mix like oil and water. Not a chance. [0% chance]

Commanders - Never count out Daniel Snyder when it comes to big name, older veterans. Plus, he played for Dallas. Snyder loves to stick it to the Cowboys. [80% chance]

Falcons - With new coach Mike Smith and standout 2nd year QB Matt Ryan, there's really no need to mess with the chemistry in that lockerroom. Plus, Roddy White is coming into his own. [10% chance]

Panthers - Delhomme is a QB that loves to throw deep. Mushin Muhammed is said to have put his house up for sale. There could be some interest. [40% chance]

Seahawks - Doubtful considering they just signed T.J. Houshmanzhada (sp?). But then again, T.J. has always been a #2 wideout. Mora Jr. just might feel that Terrell is still a #1 guy to pair up with T.J. [50% chance]

Raiders - Al Davis beats Daniel Snyder when it comes to acquiring over the hill, big name players. Davis could show T.O. the money, making it an offer Owens cannot refuse. T.O. will have to weigh the options of money, or taking less to play with a contender. [65% chance]

Chargers - San Diego may not even be in the market for T.O., but add Owens with the likes of Antonio Gates and you have a potent one-two punch. [35% chance]

Saints - This could be a legitimate pick up for New Orleans. Payton knows T.O. and the pros and cons that go along with him. Drew Brees is a no nonsense QB who will get in your face. Just ask Jeremey Shockey. And there is enough leadership that goes along with Brees that could make the already potent Saint's offense even more of a threat without dividing the team. [85% chance]

Buccaneers - Doubtful. But Raheem Morris might inquire. They already have Antonio Bryant who had his first real breakout year. [25% chance]

Packers - Driver and Jennings are the go-to-guys on this team. Not sure Aaron Rodgers has what it takes to divide up the balls between 3 go-to-guys. At the same time, the Packers west coast style offense could benefit Owens who is lethal at times after the catch. [30% chance]

Broncos - Denver has been a major player in free agency this offseason. Once the Broncos and Jay Cutler patch things up (Jay is not going anywhere), Jay will want to prove to the Broncos that it was silly to even consider trading him for Matt Cassell. And Terrell Owens could be the guy that helps Jay do just that. Let's not forget that Brandon Marshall may miss a few games after Roger Goodell gets through with him. T.O. has a shot. [75% chance]

Chiefs - A shot in the dark, but as young as this team is on both sides of the ball, and the fact that Matt's breakout year involved Randy Moss, maybe Owens could do the same for Matt in K.C. [20% chance]

*Outside the schedule, look for Indianapolis as a possible destination for Owens now that Harrison is gone.

I will not be shocked, in the least, if he's in a Commanders uniform this year.

Damn, there's a 575% chance we will play TO this year.

What about the chance no one signs him? I'll take me some that.

TO has burnt too many bridges in this league, teams looking for WRs have taken available ones. Housh wanted to be out of Cincy and he was having trouble finding ANY place.

TO will be on someones roster next season. I'm thinking Oakland

How so? It's not from first-hand experience because T.O. never played under Payton.

I think it's the Seahawks or Raiders.

T.O. is gearing up to retire. He won't play again. Be on the lookout for a "I just can't fight it anymore" press conference.

You can put the Packers at 0.00%. They would not want him if he wanted to play for free.

We might trade Greg Jennings to you guys for Ware and your 2nd tho. :)

Ok...

Parcells hated TO, didn't even speak with him. Parcells has lots of influence with current GMs/Coaches including teams like Kansas City, New England, and New York Giants .

When Childress was OC of Eagles him and TO didn't even talk to each other. Now Childress is coach of Vikings. I don't see him signing TO.

Broncos coaches have a mess right now. Cutler being traded rumors. Do people really think they want a volatile TO in that to make things much worse?

I really don't see bucs, falcons, or packers signing him. They wern't even interested in TJ Houshamazilly, why would they be interested in Older WR?

Seahawks just signed a WR, they do not need another expensive WR.

So, if it happens Commanders or Raiders...and I consider it a low chance. Hes going to have to either play for cheap or swallow his pride for playing with those teams.

Mike and Mike pushing idea of going to Titans.

Oakland is a strong possibility. Maybe N.O. is a possibility. Denver is out since Shanahan is no longer coach/GM. No way NYFG or Washington takes a chance.

As Cowlinshaw wrote, it's hard to imagine at this point which team will want to sign him, but someone surely will.

You'd have to give up the entire Packer's roster for Ware. :) Besides, I doubt Green Bay even thinks of bringing in T.O. But it's fun to speculate.

Chances are he will play for less than what he was getting in Dallas. However someone will pick him up.

I don't know why people assume someone will pick him up.

It took a major risk-taking owner in Jerry Jones to keep him from having to retire after the Eagles debacle.

Now that the two biggest risk-takers left other than Jones are gone (Shanahan and Gruden), he has next to not chance at ever playing football again.

He's 35 years old, the perception is that he's declining (bull, but scouts are getting lazier and lazier, watching less and less film and relying more and more on hollow statistics), and now the perception will be that he destroyed THREE teams instead of just two.

Because I have watched NFL teams take problem players. NE went out and took Moss even though Moss numbers in Oakland looked like crap and was a pain in the butt. There will always be a team who thinks they can get more out of a player. TO has talent someone will take him and chances are do so at a lower price tag.

Sorry, but Owens, love him or hate him is still a productive WR. Owens led the league in total touchdowns over a span of the three seasons with the Cowboys, as well as went over 1,000 yards in each of them. A team will pick him up this season. I guarantee it.

Did Moss have the perception surrounding him that he had ruined THREE TEAMS? I don't think people thought Moss even ruined ONE team.

Moss was also significantly younger.

He gets basically nothing in terms of media scrutiny in comparison to T.O.

T.O. is seen (as ridiculous as it may be) as a one man locker room wrecking crew. To say people give him way too much credit would be the understatement of a lifetime.

He single-handedly turns 53 men against each other. He destroys quarterbacks' willpower and performance through mind games and by making the quarterback unable to go through his progressions, having to force him the ball to keep him happy. He kills the offensive coordinator's ability to call plays, making him keep him happy. He corrupts teammates and infects them with bad attitude. His body language tears apart team morale. He's the most powerful voice in the locker room and uses his leadership to destroy it. Removing Owens from the equation guarantees the Cowboys will win 2 more games next year according to most people here. Oh yeah, and he keeps assistant coaches from getting head coaching positions because he creates some sort of perception that an assistant who doesn't get along with him is racist.

It doesn't matter that the real Owens just sits around like a zombie texting people on his cell phone. The prior paragraph is what everyone in the NFL thinks of him, with rare exceptions (George Stewart, the receivers coach in Minnesota, is a personal friend/father figure of his having been his receivers coach in San Francisco).

I know I'm in the minority by a long way, but I believe if T.O. plays in 2009, it will be in an Eagles uniform. JMO

I think the "chances" listed here are WAY overstated. I don't think there's that much of a market for Owens...I think of Manny Ramirez when I think of Owens. How many teams sought Manny's services this year?

Moss was producing in Minn ungodly numbers and they choose to get rid of him than to keep him. if you don't think Moss was a pain in the butt headcase I think you are wrong. Oakland he just comes out and chooses not to play hard. In NE things worked out but there is even some negitive talk about moss taking place in NE has it reach the same attention level as Owens no
