Rather face the champs early than late.
Looking forward to it.
Isnt that the game we always wanted, face the bad boy on the block and punch um in the nose,, could be a great start to the season.
This article is Fisher’s speculation on King’s speculation.
If the NFL wants a great game to kick off the season, there’s only one option that is great.
Have the Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers open on the road at Foxboro against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
There is no other matchup that would have this kind of intrigue and draw as much speculation and emotion.
Tom Brady back in Foxboro for the first time after abandoning the Pats for the sun of Florida (and a loaded roster). Or was he kicked to the curb by a franchise that he had done so much for? Who got all those Super Bowls in New England? Brady? Big Bill? Tom has things pointing in his direction but there’s really only one way to tell: Line ‘em up and let ‘em play.
It is going to be one of the best game on this year’s overall schedule. It would mean the Super Bowl winner not opening up at home, but there’s nothing written that says they have to open at home.
It’s a great game and the NFL should make it happen.
Cowboys at Chiefs will be a midseason (November) matchup for a national game late Sunday afternoon: crisp fall weather in Missouri. Two franchises that originated in Dallas:.the Chiefs...one of the charter AFL franchises - but started as the Dallas Texans - the same season the Cowboys began in 1960 as an expansion NFL team in the Lone Star State. (And don't forget the Houston Oilers - a third pro football team had its initial season also -debuting as an original AFL franchise).
Two young QBs who are top 5 in league salaries, along with their rising Q scores\ratings. And if both teams are atop their division \conference in wins?
Plus - a rivalry & debate just as good as football....Kansas City BBQ or Texas BBQ - which is better?
They got a Legit D, which held chiefs to single digits, what do we have ?
The Cowboys will continue their streak of never beating Tom Brady
He was being sarcastic
I would hope so. New look defense and dak back. Let’s see what we got.
My brother won’t know what to do if that’s the case with his new found love for Tampa bay.
the reason why i think it will be a blowout or a close loss is because the last twenty five years this team sets itself up to lose primetime games like that. just look at last year the first game against the rams on national tv and the cowboys choked. they had the rams right where they wanted them and could not finish them. i just think that mccarthy is just like garrett and will not be able to turn this team around.
Set the tone week one? I like it.
Am I my brother's keeper?
Your answer is no.
We should open up against the Giants. It's been too long.
'AsthmaField' - I was speculating the same thing...but the Buccaneers have been bad for most of the 21st century. Since their 1st NFL Championship - only 5 winning seasons in the 17 from 2003-2019 with only two playoff berths (both wildcard losses). Plus, the Glazer family has owned the franchise for over a quarter-century....so I don't see the league denying them, the city of Tampa and the surrounding communities this opportunity for raising their second NFL title in the home opener.
TB12's return to the Northeast and facing his former team and coach will be on SNF or MNF in October.
If we HAVE to play them, might not be the worst time to do it. Although our defense will be a work in progress early in the year. If Moore can come out slinging the rock instead of trying to establish the plodding Zeke, maybe we can get up on them.
