Spears is supposed to be in Vince Young's charity basketball game on Sat. I believe at Texas Southern. Crayton is going to be in Vince Young's celebrity bowling tournament.

Go figure, Crayton is considered a star...

They should be focusing on football.

This is a distraction.

Crayton is a star if the others are also: Vickers, S.Young, B.Wade, B.Scaife

The Cowboys have been playing off-season basketball games (formerly called the Hoopsters) since the early 1960s.

The former players used to play, too (Tony Hill organized them for awhile).

I always enjoyed watching these games, seeing how their football skills translated to the court, and vice versa. They've had some great basketball players. Guys that come to mind are Ed Jones, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Michael Downs, Billy Joe DuPree, Everson Walls and Michael Irvin. Walls' hand-eye coordination was off the charts.

I remember those teams also. If someone could dig up a old picture of any of those teams that would be great.

Wow, u brought back memories, I remember those teams, I used to go to the Cap Centre in DC to watch them play the Commanders all the time. I think they played like 2 or 3 years in a row. That was the early 80's. Goin to those and watching G'town games were my 1st experiences with live sporting events.

Yep, I saw them play the Commanders in Lubbock, Texas, in the early 1980s.

Art Monk was one of the Skins' best players.

I remember when they did this. If I remember right Roger got involved too. I heard Drew Pearson was the best on the team back in the 70's.

You have to think that Romo, Owens, and Bennett could be pretty good. I say that because of talk that Romo was one of the best on the team if not the best

Don't have picture of the entire team, but I've been to a couple of their basketball games.

They came to my high school Emmits rookie year. Small school in central/west Texas and played against out athletics coaches. They won but not by much.

Tony should play...wasn't he voted second for Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin behind Curon(sp?) Butler in high school?
