I have no doubt the game will be shown in the DFW area. No way Jerry lets it get blacked out. This Gipson family can go to hell though. If they wanted to, they didn't have to pay their 10K to ensure they were seeing the game Sunday. They could have waited until the last second and risked not getting a seat. I don't get upset when the late comers get scalped tickets cheaper because they waited till kickoff. :banghead:

I agree. That would tick me off to no end. It has nothing to do with "poor people sitting by me". It has to do with I had to drop 10K, and the guy next to me didn't.

The guy next to you also doesn't have season tickets. I don't see a problem with it really. There are always tickets available to purchase for every game, if not from the ticket office, from other season ticket holders selling tickets on stubhub and the like. The season ticket holders paid the price to have designated seats to every game, which is awesome if you can afford it, but they could have just as easily bought individual tickets to every game just like all of the non season ticket holders. I say stop whinin and welcome in as many fans as you get into that place to make as much noise as possible.

You are completely missing the point. Those people who paid the 10k PSL had no idea that the same seats next to him or her were reserved and would open up later to any Joe who doesn't have to pay the PSL.

Seems a bit wrong in my book and that would make me grumble.

I have a whole bunch of other things I could spend my 10k on other than designated seats.

Its whining?

It's freakin 10,000 $

Only to those subscribers in the DWF area of NFL ticket. Everyone else outside that area would still see the game on NFL ticket.

This whole NFL blackout rule is stupid.

JJ gets 100k to the game and still has to abide by the blackout rule?

Someone punch Roger in the face for me, please?

No one made them pay. And there was no guarantee there wouldn't be seats available less than a week before the game. It should be obvious that if they don't sell them all the seats will go to general admission. Anyone that doesn't have a ticket now took the risk of not seeing the game in person to get that cheaper price.

I'd pretty much have to agree. It's similar to what goes on in the airline or hotel buis.

Do the subscribers of NFL ticket in the DFW area get a partial refund? (I still have two stupid questions left for today)

:laugh2: If it were to be blacked out (no chance)...no. Also, this game is on Sunday night so isn't a NFL season ticket thing anyone.

It sounds like to me that the Cowboy fans in the DFW area could end up getting a big screwing with having to fill a 100K stadium for every home game in order to lift the black-out.

Except it's a nationally televised game on NBC, so no one will see the game on Sunday Ticket. :laugh2:

Edit: Whoooops! Someone already made this point.

Um, what's gonna happen if (in the future) the team reverts to the dismal 5-11 days? Could be blackout city.

I dont see how these people can get upset, there is no way Jerry can let there be a black out just to make a few crazy people happy. The PSL gives you the right to buy those seats year in and year out. All these other people are doing is buying seats for one game. I dont understand the issue here.

Agreed. I think it's pretty unfair to the fans in that market.

As stated this game will not have an impact on the ticket subscribers, but there will be games that do in the future.

Get ready for it folks. It will happen.

No question that it will.

The decision to build the new stadium wasn't really in the best interest of the fans of the Dallas Cowboys in the DFW area-- not that building any new stadium is really. :laugh1:

I know, but it seems to me if you're willing to spend 10k for the right to buy tickets, then it's disposable income. Disposable income that you spent for the guarantee to sit in your prefered seats during every cowboys home game, which is something the non season ticket holder sitting next to you doesn't have. You got what you paid for, so I think complaining about someone that is not a season ticket holder sitting in your section is...petty. What about the guy sitting in front you that bought some other season ticket holders seats for that one game? Are you upset that he didn't pay the 10k too?

Now, if Jerry is selling the tickets at a lesser price than you paid (not including the PSL or whatever it is), and you were trying to sell yours for what you paid (ie, the face value of your ticket at the time of purchase) then that might be reason to complain.

Complaining about having to pay the 10k to be a season ticket holder and sit in the same section with someone that bought tickets the week of the game and is not a season ticket holder is whining IMHO.
