That's an absolutely sobering question.

Think about it.

Prior to Romo the last franchise QB the Cowboys developed was Troy Aikman back in 1989 and Romo was effectively lightning in a bottle.

This FO has no demonstrated track record of developing talent at the position, so I can see them pinning their hopes to Dak thinking they fell into one again.

What??? What about Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Stephen Mcgee, Clint Stoerner, Anthony Wright. Yeah not trusting the FO to develop a QB is pretty easy to do. Lol, I remember when Jerry developed a baseball players fetish after Aikman retired. I'd hate to have Jerry raid the soccer world next for the find of the century.

Dak takes too many sacks. Always puts the offense in 2nd and long or 3rd and long. For some reason he refuses to throw the ball away. He's still not reading wide open WR's down the field. The Cowboys would have a very good offense if those things were cleaned up. It's very frustrating to watch the same thing happen week after week.
