It was not called but that was dumber than anything that Randy Gregory did in the game.

On some plays it's almost impossible not to have some helmet to helmet contact such as the non-call when Xavier Woods went facemask to facemask with the TE in the game before last.

On this play by Jaylon it should have been relatively easy to NOT go helmet to helmet.

Got to disagree with Rafael Vela comparing the '09 and '18 OL.

Look what happened when Tyron Smith missed multiple games last season versus this season. Travis Frederick, one of the best pivots in the game, has missed the entire season to date and Jumbo Joe Looney has held up much better than any of us would've suspected. Xavier Su'a Filo has taken over at LG because of injury and brought some much needed power at the position.

All of this has gone down while new OL coach Paul Alexander, who was Scott Linehan's choice, proved a poor fit and was fired during the season.

What's it going to be then, eh?

That elite D allowed a 134.4 passer rating to Favre, with none of the Vikes' TD coming off a Romo turnover.
It was also one game. Vela's point in terms of overall success has validity.

Even very good defenses have their breaking point. There are not many defenses that are sustainable. When they are, they win championships and get remembered along with the great ones.

In today's NFL, briefly sustainable might be the best you can hope for.

And then you have to hope it happens at the right time.
