But on the flip side they have huge potential. They could be terrible or they could be really good we will have to see.

If our coaches were smart we would use this to our advantage. Teams won't know what to expect from us with a new receiving and TE group. Could be a big surprise like the Rams offense this past season.
Huge potential? You serious?

Gallup was the highest drafted guy out of our entire WR/TE group and he’s a 3rd round rookie unlikely to contribute much this year. I bet the majority of these guys aren’t here next season.

Gallup hopefully develops into a #2 WR next year. Cowboys will be desperate for a #1 WR in free agency or draft next year. Book it

As far as TE, Swaim is in the last year of his deal. Gathers, Jarwin, and Schultz are all under Cowboys control for a few more years and are all extremely affordable. They should have plenty of cap room to upgrade if the current plan falls short.
Swaim should be under Cowboys control for the most part too. He can be tendered.

Not anymore. Players hit unrestricted free agency after 4 seasons. He was a 2015 draft pick so this will be his 4th season.

The exception is 1st round picks, where teams may exercise their 5th year option before the beginning of their 4th season.

So you bet that Gallup is unlikely to contribute this season. Barring injuries how much is that bet
