The bad thing is that's not even "the way to play". Jaylon's going for the big shot, and at the same time he's being smart about it and keeping things under control so that he doesn't cost his team 15 yards on some BS hitting-the-quarterback penalty. But man - "the way to play" is to wrap the guy up and take him to the ground, not just drop your shoulder into his chest and letting his legs keep churning. Eli's not going to bounce out of that hit in a zillion years, but a lot of running backs might.
It was a good and smart play by Jaylon, but using this as teaching tape just highlights to me how tackling is becoming something of a lost art in the NFL.
I don't know. Still fun to see the NFL give a defender kudos for killing a QB though.
