You know he's saying to himself that all the guys he's working with are incompetent. He's probably in shock that most of his staff are coaches and not car salesman.
Personally, I hope that ownership realizes that they actually have one good one on the staff and do anything and everything to keep him. I'd gladly be willing to fire Garrett midseason if it meant handing the reigns Ivey to Richard and seeing what he could do with this team.
Worst case scenario? You find out he's not the guy and completely clear the decks in 2019.
Best case scenario? You have your man for the future and kept the best coach you have on your staff.
