Of course:
Or 7 LBs.
Or Tyree Robinson.
Of course:
Could have been a couple of things...
-What they believe the potential of the player is
-How many snaps the player would get per game
-If they played special teams or not
The #1 DT spot on this team only needs a run-stuffer about 1/2 the number of snaps... Maybe 500 for the season. The rest of the time they'll move a DE inside or have two pass-rushing DT's like Crawford & Collins.
And if the starting #1 DT is getting 3/4 of the snaps (not an unreasonable number) then that leaves 125 snaps up for grabs.
Yeah no doubt the Cowboys wanted to get Price back, but that 7th linebacker and Robinson are also going to be part of special teams.
It's one of those things... You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.
I don't view the losing of Price as being a big blow.
I view it simply from the perspective of they thought they were being cute and thought no one would pick up Price.
They were wrong. Why they thought Price wouldn’t get picked up but we were worried a guy like Robinson or Covington would is peculiar.
Freaking biased jerk
Who the hell is Benjamin Albright?
agree. Why not put Moore on IR in the first place? Here’s a question.
Why even cut Price if you wanted to keep him? Looks like they took a risk and got burned.
The Youth Excuse is coming.
Who knows what their chain of thought was... They're not dummies, they had some rationale and thought they could get Price through waivers.
Oh well.
Freaking biased jerk
The reality is their thought process was wrong.
Why can’t we just admit they probably made a mistake?

Oh Sydla…
What you're doing is "resulting".
Just because the results weren't positive, doesn't mean the process was flawed.
There's an element of risk based upon what the 31 others do or do not do.
They're not dummies
Resulting is really all that matters.
They goofed if they wanted Price as a backup DT.
Again, why so tough to just say, “It looks like they overplayed their hand and got burned.......”

there were options they were faced with ; they had better depth at DT and were lite at safetyI view it simply from the perspective of they thought they were being cute and thought no one would pick up Price.
