I guess Witten doesn't need a coach, but Swaim and Gathers surely do.

Pope was a guru. There's no way Loney can be as influential in the receiving aspects of TE coaching; he's been an OL coach his entire career since 1975, except for brief stints as HC at Morehead and Drake and one HS.

He is a seasoned and respected OL guy, though; been in the NFL since 2002, with Vikings, Rams, Cards, and TB, before joining the Dallas in 2015.

Maybe our TE's will also routinely get some time with the receivers' coaches.

Will he be missed? I dont remember our TE corp being, well much of anything. Witten is a hall of famer, and the others, but i havent see another useful TE under him. What am i missing here?
