Cowboys vs 49ers last play, worst play in Dallas history!

Okay I really didn't want to do this and cringe when I think of this I think it's scarred my childhood.

Jackie Smith drop was the worst thing I can remember.
Me too. The PTSD of it still remains.

But strictly from a perspective of stupidity, seeing Zeke at center is probably only rivaled by Lett's snowy Turkey day special teams gaffe.

Just stupid by Lett the player.
The other? I mean McCarthy *** was he calling with that formation?

Head scratchers all around.

Worst play in cowboy history
Smith dropping the ball in the end zone against Pittsburgh
Byron Jones allowing a completion by Aaron Rodgers
You know there are so many I just can’t go on. I could but I don’t want to lol

Chock full of nuts. Coffee.

There will be plays mentioned. Some more famous than others. There is one play every fan (at the time) may not remember, but has stuck with me for years.

It happened when Roy E. Williams played. The Saints stripped him of the ball after a nice catch-and-run. Great defensive play for sure, but it is really rare for a defensive player to catch up with a receiver and strip the ball from BEHIND the receiver. Not falling to the ground fighting for the ball. Not punched out. Not facing the defensive player either. Just... snatched out of his grip, like he was pickpocketed, lol. smh.

You’re right, there are numerous, numerous plays.
I’m old and I can come up with at least 20.
Without really even having to think about it. Whether it’s offense, defense, or special teams. From the beginning to the end, I think all teams have these issues.

But the point is, every individual, will remember the one that hurt them the most

Ironically the guy who designed and called that play who most didn't want to stay here who now thought maybe bringing him back got a ring with the Eagles It now has his own team isn't that something you just need to call and design a crazy play and you can make your bones in the NFL...

We have to live with all these moments in the playoffs maybe I don't watch enough other teams to notice their moments but we always seem to have national news moments like that play or the referee to somehow being lazy and not getting the ball set in the other end to the 49er game I mean I watched a lot of plays since and seems like the referees if they know the one that's way behind the play can't get there they run up from another spot closer to the ball set the ball and make sure the team gets the ball off didn't happen with us though..

I mean the bad spot with the Witten play against Seattle that now only people remember the fumble snap and hold by Romo on the field goal attempt but beat the play before that was controversial I still say it should have been first and goal..

Then we have the Dez Bryant catch no catch I mean come on I mean there's more as well always seems to be some controversy connected with the Cowboys...

But the one common thing is lots of disappointment even all the way back to the 1981 game against the 49ers now known famously as The Catch Montana to Clark Yep that was my first game ever watched as a cowboy another last play of the game broken hearted playoff loss..
They tried to run the play without giving it to the ref.

In a must do situation the check down pass to a covered receiver is the way to go. I have seen it many, many times.

Everyone defending Dak and the post doesn't blame Dak. It is pointing out how bad the play itself was not the execution by any player.

Do we need to do that there was going to be no time to throw and nobody open because Ezekiel Elliott got trucked ran over and they had to get rid of the ball but go ahead blame the QB not the designer or the execution by the rest of the team That would be Keller Moore got rewarded with a ring with the Eagles and he gets his own team by being bad at least in that moment..
I sense some ridicule in "zeke getting trucked". I oculd be wrong but...meter twitched.

HAVE seen a lot of fans laugh about it. Zeke was always a faithful blocker...doing things no other super star RB would do...let alone be asked. This was one of them.

A big nose tackle with a 10 yard head of steam? What did they think would happen?

Would Saquan do it? Barry Sanders? I don't even think Emmitt or Henry would...and I know for dang sure nobody would ask Emmitt...he;d say "are ya stupid or something?" Jimmy was NOT.

But Cowboys ARE. This just the final example of ruining Zeke fast.

Hopefully the video shows

It looks as if Dak blew that play, as well.
He got scared and threw the ball directly to a receiver that was covered, but he had more options available.
He had time to see other open receivers.

Dak has the opposite mentality Romo had. Romo would bring the team back....at the end he'd be like...welp...there's no other choice...I gotta heave this. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not...he was willing to risk it when needed.

Dak doesn't want to throw an interception so badly he's willing to "check down" on the hail mary.
