***Cowboys vs Commanders post game thread***

How bad is this team? The fact that we need FIVE "Official Blame..." Threads is just insane. That means that there is so much blame to go around that there is not just one or two areas that need help.

We need a complete and total overhaul.

Just sad.

Agreed. Yet in the same token, in today's NFL in which there are no dominant teams, a quick turn around is possible. With Jerry as the GM though, not probable.

It's more a reflection of our posters than it is of the team. Gotta channel all the negativity, right? Otherwise, where are posters going to go to complain about successful challenges and such?

Parcells built us a decent team, and it looked like we had a ton of potential. I really wonder how things would've turned out for us if Romo didn't bobble the snap. I'm not saying we would've won the championship that year, by any means, but maybe Parcells would've stuck around. Maybe he would've helped us even more in the draft. Who knows?

I'll level with you. I don't get it. I don't know why the Cowboys don't do better more than they do in a number of facets.

Consider their defense today. Their pass defense has been decent, and they're finally getting good production from Spencer. Why can't they get a stop when they need it? How did the game get out of hand so quickly?

On offense, the pass protection held up today, even without Tyron Smith. The receivers made plays. They moved the ball fairly well despite the lack of running game. They scored over thirty points yet they didn't win.

Is it really something as simple as the team doesn't know how to win? Their culture simply isn't conducive to it?

Turnovers kill!

I loved parcells when he was here, he just said straight how he felt about the team

wish he were here today, i'm not sure he'd allow this big of a mess and not speak on it

It's quite pathetic how far they've fallen since Parcells. '07 was a tease. The talent's been poorly coached for 6 years and it's shown.

I think one more coaching change will tank Romo's career. We are headed in a positive direction. Just need to stick with the process. :laugh2:

Well if it were just one or two things then we would have the same complaints in all departments every week. Even when we win like last week with Cleveland we knew there were mountainous issues to be fixed. And those of us who pointed them out were ridiculed for not enjoying a win. Well, now we lost because of those problems.

its not jsut the talent, jerry has to take lost of blame as does his sons who are NOT screaming in his ear this is a mess or who wont do anything more for the team, if i was his son id be on his desk every freaking day demanding him rellquinish or do something for the sake of the team.

what i don't understand is how can a NFL team not follow fundamentals? I mean you don't need that much talent if your fundamentals are correct. we can go 10-6 if we follow this simple guide

- block
- tackle
- don't move until the ball is snapped
- don't throw it to the other team
- catch

seriously if we did that we could be world beaters

the biggest problem is when garrett abandon something that works.

if we bring this team back next season with the same gameplan 1-15 might be a miracle to acheive

It should be said that, even with Parcells, the Cowboys were ranked tops in the league in penalties, or close to it.

It's pathetic that the Cowboys have their own anthem, and that it's broadcasted as a commercial. The latter part is the pathetic part. I know other teams have their own songs and whatever. But don't broadcast it. It's little things like these that allow the players to be complacent. And where's the blame go in these cases? To JJ.

indeed

hurry up offense

we've outscore opponents 51-17 In the 2nd half of the past two game

for the love of swizz cheese why don't we just run hurry up the whole game, could it be any worse, i don't see why he can't change it

Na I really don't think so. Only thing I would be in favor of coaching wise is giving the OC play calling power. Keep Garrett, keep drafting. The O-Line severely limits our game plan. I feel pretty confident that we will beef up the line this off season. Once that happens, our offense opens up. We are almost there, just need another draft or two.

In other words, Romo's been ahead of the rest of this ragtag bunch for the last couple years. If the o-line issues don't seriously get addressed next year, he should leave town. I'd have no problem rooting for him, either, particularly if he's on an AFC team.

We really did discover Romo at the most awkward time possible. The group from the early 2000's was fading out and we tried to win with them around Romo. A few years later it was obviously time to move on and we finally start building a young core around Romo. Now that young core is starting to come together and Romo is 32 years old. Luckily he doesn't have a ton of mileage on him.

there's no way we don't go o-line in the first round, idc if we got the 1st overall....
