Some of you may remember the story I posted months ago about a gentlemen who stated he would give me tickets to the Cowboys vs. Eagles in Texas this year. Long story short, he spoke to me for about ten minutes and asked the right questions to see if I was diehard. I passed and he said he would send me to my first ever game...

Ladies and Gentlemen...the tickets arrived yesterday.

I stared at them for a moment and whipped away a tear. Wife shook her head.

See you Dec 2 fellas!

Don't know the back story, but that is awesome all the same. You'll be blown away by the place. Surely hope you see a good game!

Real happy for you man. You should get there early and enjoy all the stadium glory:) Btw, don't forget to go to the guest services and get your certificate for first ever game attendance for a cowboys game. Not sure if they will still do it, its cool memorabilia to have.

Cool! What were the questions?

It wasn't anything we on here wouldn't answer the same way, since most of us here are diehard fans. But if we were bandwagon, its prolly stuff we wouldn't know.
He asked the typical Romo questions and I retorted defending our QB with buttloads of details and stats.
He asked me about the draft picks and free agents we had picked up.
He asked about some Cowboys history, even going to before I was born to see if I had studied my Cowboys history.

Passed with flying colors my friends. :star:

Great job! Good to know the tickets are in the hands of somebody who will appreciate them. I am looking into getting tickets for that game, too. I will be traveling from overseas. Have a great time! :starspin

You're so lucky! Congratulations!

I've only ever been to one game, the last game at Texas Stadium. I so wish I could go again. After serving overseas for 10 years, I get to go home in October to Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio. I hope to finally go to Cowboys games on a regular basis after being a fan since I was four years old (1970)!

Have the time of your life!

Well, good luck to you man. Hopefully you get to go to multiple games then.

Thanks! I'm a military musician (trumpet) and I'm hoping to play the anthem at a game at some point, like one of my heroes, Tommy Loy!

I've played the Anthem for countless Spurs games, the Chicago Cubs, Pocono 500 and I was in the Super Bowl XX half time show.

Wish me luck!

Thanks! In the week leading up to the game I was at a fundraiser with players for both teams. I needed a bathroom break and as I was using the urinal one of the players (I don't know who it was or which team he played for) looked at me and said "I ____ bigger than you"! I was only 18 at the time and I was a skinny kid, but man, he looked as big as the Superdome to me!
