Yeah, but he inferred we'd need him in case of injury not performance. Said, we may need him next week, next year, or 2-3 years from now. But, we're going to need him at some point to get to where we need to go. Also said he's willing to be known as the GM paying the most for a backup QB in the history of the league. This is just JJ dangling the carrot to other teams waiting for Romo to get cut so they can swoop down and grab him. JJ's saying, "If you want him, you're going to have to trade for him."
