Dallas would have blown them out. Dallas had already faced a better defense and figured it out in order to score multiple times in a very quick fashion. And Seattle's offense is pedestrian.

our offense is good enough to win but not our defense. seattle would have won by 10. next year will be a different story*.
the one consolation out of sunday's game is the packers and aron rogers getz to go to seattle and get the green bay beat
out of them. on the tundra of seattle stadium field... *next year if we resign the staff, dez, demarco, tweak the defense
and sign adrian peterson we will go all the way. assuming tony romo's health is good we will one two any team with demarco
and adrian. these two will take the pressure off each other and we will be unstoppable... go cowboys from tulsa, oklahoma!!!!

it annoyed me so much the playoff position they got, even though we had the same record and beat them, and everyone fawning all over them for beating Ryan Lindley and Shaun Hill down the stretch

I wanted to get another chance to shut them up so badly, but we had to run a gauntlet to get there and just came up short. Meanwhile they beat a sub-.500 team and everyone is still acting like they're the greatest team ever

Don't think we would have won. Both teams have changed a lot since then, and while this is a very good football team, I think our propensity for turning the ball over would have killed us in this game. Seattle let us get away with it the first time around, I don't think they would have this time.

Yeah it helps to face Stanton, Lindlay, Newton, Kaepernick X 2, Hill, Sanchez for the past two months. The Seahawks really haven't changed they just haven't faced anyone worth a darn. We are a matchup problem for them and that wouldn't have changed had we faced them on Sunday.

Might as well go after Lynch too, can 1-2-3 punch opponents! :)

This thread is sad.

Reminds me of a high school girl that got stood up at prom.

I really thought Green Bay was the team that would give us the most trouble. I kept telling myself that if we could only get by them, we would be playing in the Super Bowl and I'd like our chances against any AFC team. Seattle's offense was never going to run away with the game even if it took us a while for our offense to adjust to their defense. I could very easily have seen it playing out much like the Detroit game.

Aww well. Here's to next year. :)

I was surprised by the cop-outs myself, but I guess it's just a defense mechanism, as you suggest, kind of funny given the tough talk by some of them previously.

We've been on a late season run since the Bears game, which I was lucky enough to attend, and there was no reason for it to end last week, or this week or in 2 weeks IMO, they are good enough to beat any team remaining and have beaten 2/3 already. I think that there will be carry over to '15.

Could you be any more passive/aggressive? I'm sorry it bothers you that I think that SEA, GB, and NE had better overall teams than we did this year. But they did. We have real actual limitations on defense still.

That's not to say we couldn't have beaten any or all of those teams.

I'm not insulating anything. I keep my opinions in a reasonable context. I love the players we've got, and I love the direction we're heading. That doesn't mean I think we'd be favored to beat the champs in their own house.

Their pass defense is better than DET. And so is their QB. And they're at home. Chances are good they beat any NFC team there this weekend.

Seattle has only lost twice at home since they drafted Russell Wilson...............the odds of beating Seattle two times in one season at CentryLinc are not good..................I think we would have lost by at least 7-10 points.

This game eats me up more than actually losing to Green Bay. I feel that we were the perfect team this year to knockoff the Defending champs. Built hard in the trenches and able to destroy the will of the Seahawks defense with our smash mouth Offense and a Defense able to contain Wilson while blanketing their WRs.

I completely believe the Packers will Sunday. There team can't demoralize the Seahawks Defense with a limp Rodgers.

But Ofcourse it is, what it is.

My prediction would have been
Cowboys 24 - Seahawks 16
