DAK PRESCOTTQB, DALLAS COWBOYS

NFL Network's Jane Slater reports the Cowboys have offered Dak Prescott a contract and are waiting for a counteroffer.
Slater also reports that the two sides aren't "close" to a deal, but the Cowboys are "very comfortable with Dak (Prescott) being our future." Jerry Jones personally said he's "sold" on Prescott, so it appears that it's just a matter of getting the details straightened out. Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Clarence Hill said the Cowboys are comfortable paying Prescott a salary that approaches $30 million per year.

not close to a deal, but they're offering close to $30, so probably $28-$29 a year...tap the breaks

Translate..........just as with DLaw, it could very well be structure and guarantee issues rather than per year payout.

Gotta sign Dak and honestly tag Zeke when the time comes.

 ........pretty sure saving the tag for Coop is more of a priority than Zeke.
not so sure. I think we will sign Coop before Zeke. Zeke will be playing on his 5th year option this year. Cooper will get a deal sooner.

I'll say again.......$27-29M plus extra $2M incentives that would push it to 30M.

BTW...it appears they want this done before the start of TC.

Big contracts shouldn't have incentives like that. Just pay them man. It is insulting to ask a guy to take incentives so you can save a couple mill per year.

cooper is getting paid this offseason. Zeke is playing out his rookie deal and not to mention we just activated the team option for his 5th year. We shouldn't be in any rush to sign him long term.

Unless its something like 25 with 5 million incentives. Couple easier ones with let’s say playoff ones sprinkled in
