Lets trade Dak for Cousins straight up............crickets
Cousins is a better passer no doubt.
Cousins has better offensive talent around him. They were smart to address their oline finally.
Neither Cousins or Dak should make 28 million per year.

Cousins does make 28 mil a year. Again....let's trade Dak for Cousins straight up.......crickets. No one in their right mind thinks that is a good idea except Vikings fans and ownership.

Why is this such a binary discussion? Im sure Vikings fans would pay Cousins 28 vs Dak 28 million.
Dak does not have the same passing skills that Cousins does.

Cousins also isn’t nearly as clutch against Dak. Cousins is the king is empty stats, who has a tendency to choke when the game is on the line.

The regret will start the minute he puts ink to paper. Book it. It will be the biggest mistake in Jerry's career. Sadly...fans will have to suffer through yet another Jerry Jones bufoonery @ QB.

You would think after all these years....Jerry would get it. You get what you pay for @ the QB position. The Quincy Carter debacle....Drew Henson. A hope and a prayer..w/ Bledsoe..Ryan Leaf....Hutchinson. An undrafted QB in Romo...throwing 4th round hailmary's @ Dak.

Yet in Jerry's world...he thinks by throwing money @ a guy...it's going to make him legit. Doesn't work that way.

All this contract is going to do is hamstring this franchise for years to come. You won't be able to trade him. You won't be able to cut him. Your going to have to let good players walk because you can't afford to keep everybody.

It's just insanity....of the Al Davis type. :(
2nd not allowing Romo to play the 2016 playoffs cause us at least 1 super bowl . . . The struggle is gonna be real for the next 5 years when we start losing stars . . . some say Ezekiel is expendable . . . Lunacy . . . They think Dal getting paid by Jerry Validates that Dal is "Good".

I say let him prove himself 1 more year. Too many unanswered Legit Questions surrounding his skill set as a QB

Incentives might sound like a great idea, but they're not. An injury to Cooper or Gallup or Zeke or a top o-lineman would curtail dak's ability to accomplish the incentives. He will not agree to this nor should his agent agree to it. Not going to happen.
of course incentives are no good even if you set the mark at 20 td passes Dal would be hard pressed to achieve that lol

Oh shut the hell up dude why even bring that kind of bull**** into this?
I Love Dak Prescott and hope he gets paid but pretending like they don't want to pay him cause of his skin color is total nonsense.
We come here to talk sports and our Cowboys get your **** race baiting bull**** out of here.
So tired of the racial narratives being thrown out CONSTANTLY anytime a black QB gets mentioned. Maybe it's got to do with that specific person's skillset and not their skin color? Ever thought of that or has your victimhood mentality really blinded you to anything else?
We want to win SUPERBOWLS and nobody is going to pass that up because of someone's skin color, period. This isn't the 1960s anymore nobody gives a ****.

Craps pathetic man, get over yourself already.

Cousins also isn’t nearly as clutch against Dak. Cousins is the king is empty stats, who has a tendency to choke when the game is on the line.
And cousins never had zeke scaring the living daylights out of defenses so he can make a "Clutch" run for a 1st down or a "Clutch" dink & dunk pass.

Dak has rode the coat tails of Zeke and this Line . . . but I know Football & I know this. The luxury that Dak has with Zeke became our weakness because Dak can't throw an Out to Save his Life & it wasn't until an Amazing talent like Cooper came was he was able to pass the football . . .

its a sick Joke 30 million a year ,for a QB that Can't throw an out . . . fade . . . read the field . . . . . pocket presence . . . his biggest Supporters said last year he would learn . . . Now they are saying this year he will learn.

How about we wait till he learns before we pay him like a top5 QB

Please explain.........

Sure. Was anyone competing with Dak for the QB position? Even after the TD drought that broke the Cowboys record for mediocrity, Ole' Jerrah was still singing the praises of Dak to anyone who would listen. After the unnecessary sacks, the piss poor footwork, the deer in the headlights look, the horrible accuracy issues, Jerry was still proclaiming him as the leader of the team. Ergo, he didn't earn it, it was given to him.[/QUOTE]

I would love that (assuming Dak is going to get an idiotic contract too). No question that Cousins is better.

I think Zeke will be the last deal that gets done. We can string him along almost 3 more seasons if need be. By that time how much tread will be left on the tires?
This IS what I don't understand with this board . . . you want to drag out Zeke the Heart &Soul of this team . . . when we should string Dak along so he can prove that he is improving
