Of course Forte says that. He'll say all teams in the NFL wanted him..

Not of course....he only mentioned 4 teams and said only 2 had any significant interest with Dallas being 1 of the 2.

He didn't say any other team wanted him...so what are you talking about?

Wonder if they will look into Foster as a #2 RB. Dude just can't stay healthy though, but maybe you get him and then draft someone like Alex Collins.

Foster is injury prone, but then again, so was DMC, and Murray. The line definitely is an x factor in my opinion.

Arian Foster was good until he tore his groin, had it surgically repaired, and then came back too fast.

I think with a full off-season of rest and physical therapy, he can return to his old form a little bit. Wouldn't hate the pickup at all.

Also, I mean, Forte saying this is kind of silly. Sure they had interest, but you got $9M guaranteed from the Jets. You're 30. Ain't nobody else but the Jets giving you $9M guaranteed.

We can, you know, be committed to a tandem of McFadden and Forte.

One guy doesn't get 100% of the snaps all the time.

Agreed. But when you are sniffing around Demarco Murray and Matt Forte one can't help but assume the teams intentions are for DMC to go back to the role they had him playing last year before Joseph Randle had his breakdown.

Why wouldn't you? Murray is better than McFadden from a complete standpoint. Forte, I don't know for sure, but still a potential upgrade for the starting role.

I'm just not saying it means they're "not committed to McFadden." They're committed, but it doesn't mean you can't make the position group a lot better. Forte and Murray are both leagues better than Randle ever was -- I think that's the difference.

We also basically are expected to have 1 RB under contract soon, because it looks like Dunbar will end up somewhere else. So it would make sense to want to go out and get another talent better than Dunbar and Randle combined.

He had nothing to gain by saying the Cowboys had "significant" interest. Of course he did get a nice amount of money from the Jets.

The significance of the story is that we had serious interest in bringing him in...this is a real sign that we don't plan to go into next season with DMC as the lead back. It's also a sign that we still don't plan to pay a RB Demarco or Forte money...at least not a back on the wrong side of 30.

Would love to see Alfred Morris, solid locker room guy, very good in our scheme, good protecting the QB, only average hands.

Would be a beast behind our line.

I can also see the similarities between Forte and Demarco with running style. Lamar Miller doesn't really fit the same mold. Especially considering the Dolphins would never lean on him to be a workhorse back. It looks like the draft may be the place we find our next back. It's interesting to see who they were trying to sign.

How can he pick the Jets over the Cowboys?
Then say he wants to win
