A very tough schedule imo for the Boys. They better be ready right out of the gate this year. I like the fact that if we go to the playoffs, and I believe we will, we wil have played a tough schedule. Not to many patsies on the schedule this year.

Dallas should fair pretty well I think they'll go 11-5 and make a strong showing the in the playoffs, I'm sure about the Superbowl but it would not shock me if they did go.

The schedule is all relative! You can't go by last year. There is so much parity, now,a team can go from last to first in a year.See New Orleans!!!:bang2:

I totally disagree. This is not a hard schedule if you are basing this on last year, which I do not know what else one could really do. In the end we have no idea how it will come out, BUT

6 games against teams below .500 last year
5 games against teams who where exactly .500 last year
5 games against teams with a winning record, and we play 3 of those at home.

70% of our games are against teams that did not have a winning record last year, .500 and below.

Those stats are empty. We have a very hard schedule.

You think st.louis is a bad team? Green bay? I bet you think buffalo is bad too?

remember this also, alot of these teams draft high and will have good players added to their roster.

Nope, not bad, but all average teams, and for the most part that is what we play this year, a bunch of average teams with a few of upper and lower teams mixed in.

sorry, it is not just the stats, I do not see this as a hard schedule. Not a walk in a park, but favorable

This is a hard schedule -

Sep 9 Denver 1:00pm
Sep 16 @Pittsburgh 1:00pm
Sep 23 @New England 1:00pm
Sep 30 N.Y. Jets 1:00pm
Oct 8 Dallas 8:30pm
Week 6 BYE
Oct 21 Baltimore 1:00pm
Oct 28 @N.Y. Jets 4:05pm
Nov 4 Cincinnati 1:00pm
Nov 11 @Miami 1:00pm
Nov 18 New England 1:00pm
Nov 25 @Jacksonville 1:00pm
Dec 2 @Washington 1:00pm
Dec 9 Miami 1:00pm
Dec 16 @Cleveland 1:00pm
Dec 23 N.Y. Giants 1:00pm
Dec 30 @Philadelphia

He didn'nt say they are bad teams...But they are only 500 and played in weak divisions. Green Bay is not very good, and Buffaloe is not very good either. Neither of these teams will have a good rushing attack, and that is huge. Both have suspect O-lines and they are not playoff quality teams. St Louis could very well be a wild card team, but even they have major holes at the LB and Secondary posistions. You can't just fix that because you have high draft picks. We should beat all of these teams whether at home or on the road.

I don't think our schedule is either tough or against patsies. A few tough ones, afew not so tough. A lot of middle of the pack teams. But that's based on last year, you never know what this year will be yet. A few teams will fall, a few come out of nowhere to win.

So true. Most thought that the Panthers were SB locks last year, and were 8-8, and would have been 7-9 if that Saints had needed to win that last game. NO is also a perfect example. Picked to finish last, I believe, in their division. All you can do is play it out and see how injuries and other factors weigh in.

Sure you can go by the opponent's record. Detroit according to the record was a bad team and we beat them. Didn't we? We didn't? OK forget what I just said.

Its absolutely impossible and completely speculative to tell if the schedule is easy or difficult.

Green Bay, Buffalo, Detroit, Carolina, Minnesota ... I don't even know who their quarterback is going to be when we face off, much less how good they're going to be as a team.

Green Bay and the Jets had surprisingly good records last year, but they were playing last place schedules. They won't have that this year. Green Bay also seemed to pad their record a little bit playing in the NFC North. 8-8 teams generally don't allow 65 more points than they score in a season. Using the Pythagorean Theorem to the actual winning percentage Green Bay would have won 6 games last year.

I don't have a clue on where you get your opinions sometimes... The Cowboys' schedule is ranked in the lower half of the NFL as far as "toughness". And with the bye-week in the middle of the season and the tough Eagle game after the bye I think this is one of the best schedules I've seen the Cowboys play in an awfully long time.

They're as valid as you're gonna get with regard to any strength of schedule debate.

I don't think either St. Louis, Bufflo or Green Bay are a bad team, but the fact is that none made the playoffs while Dallas did. Let them worry about us rather than the other way around.

Last I checked none of those teams did anything great to improve over what they had last year - Dallas did.

In fact, teams like Green Bay and Buffalo look worse than the team that finished the season.

We really are only playing one of what are considered the elite teams- the Pats. We are not playing the Chargers, Ravens,COlts, Broncos, etc. I do not think Chicago is an elite team- at least as long as Grossman is the QB.

Yup.

Buffalo lost arguably their best offensive player AND best defensive player.

Sure, they could unexpectedly put together decent years, but neither one of them look that great right now.

Yea but at least we don't have to play the Saints, that waas the Stallingrad of the Cowboy season last year, arg we never recovered, adjusted or regrouped. This is when I thought it was time for BP/Zimmerman to move on..
