the roof should be closed in extreme heat rain and snow, otherwise leave the damn thing open.

There are several teams who use the extreme weather and sometimes even dangerous freezing temps to their advantage? Why don't we do the same thing with the heat? I've never understold this. Frostbite or hypothermia are dangerous conditions that the league plays in. People prepare for it, they should have to prepare for the heat and humidity of the South. High schools and colleges do it, so please don't come with that to dangerous argument. It might even make for some good scenery at the stadium.

Have we ever opened it at halftime when it was closed to start a game? What about closing it if it starts to rain? That not allowed too?

Woot! The rule never made sense anyway. Maybe the Cowboys will actually open the roof sometimes now. They barely ever open it.

I don't think either were allowed before, so no.

I think you misread. The Cowboys are NOW allowed to open the roof at halftime if they so desire. In the past, they were not allowed to.

Will they be able to close the drapes as well when the sun is beaming in??

That's actually a good question -- especially since by halftime we'll know whether the sun will provide an advantage/disadvantage for us.

While you can take advantage of it on any one day, the risk of injury is still greater particularly in the heat. That is 4 hot games on your schedule as opposed to the 1 that your opponent has to make it through. All kinds of dome teams have won the title. It's a survival league.

Yeah, that would be my question-----I am sure Jerry can't just open and close them at his discretion either to take advantage. Wonder if that decision is supposed to be made prior to the game as well. I know the fans on that end of the field REALLY hate that sun in their faces as well just as much as the heat.
