If only to gain a little perspective about some of the Aints defensive calls, by all means, sign him. If we get any additional benefit ......it's all gravy.

Damn! Back on topic....perhaps Newman's knee is still troubling him?

Yeah,

worked for Chambers in KC. Why not. ?

Is Dallas's defensive scheme "So all world and in depth" that he can't figure it out. ?

Really easy, cover the dude in front of you, play in the this space. It ain't the guy's first rodeo.

But I read that we never, ever brought in potential churn candidates on Fridays...

Really, pretty funny that we'd work out one guy from the Saints offense and one from the Saints defense. Might as well look for any edge. ;)

I'm with you. We're looking for any edge we can get. Look for Romo to have a trick play on a FG hold too.

I agree and I think our CB depth has been a little overrated. Newman and Scandrick are having average years at best.

I'm pretty sure both McAllister and the Harris were signed the week prior to the Saints playing the Patriots. They both played well.

Lets be honest, would he be worth than Scandrick at this point?

But we all know Jerry doesn't want to hurt any of our CB's "psyche." Exactly what's wrong with the team right there.

Lot of big-name-itis in this thread.

He's a name, sure. But I thought he played well against the Patriots.

That, and he has playoff experience.

Oh, and he's a bigger corner. So he ought to match up against bigger receivers, which we've had troubles with.

If he did so well, he'd still be there. He was with the Saints for a few weeks and had to get in football shape even to play against New England (he was inactive for the Tampa game). Both he and McKenzie did horribly against Washington.

Honestly, no. Asking him to come in with three days work would be more of a liability than anything else.

Precisely.

Remember how well Tony Parrish did when the same sort of thing happened?

Coddling has nothing to do with it.

If they want to sign him, fine. Just don't expect much for a few weeks until he learns the system.

You have this all figured out. I am impressed.
