Ha ha. Just read a practice report from today and it stated Rico is in pads but is limited. I couldn’t tell if that was an injury report or just a general observation.

Saw Cody McElroy(spelling) signed with another team as a WR.

So instead of WRs we are trying out OTs as TEs now

This is actually a pretty good move on Fisher's part. Despite what you'd think, blocking TEs are actually paid pretty well in the NFL. Even the most new-school of offenses like the Rams need a specialist who can come in and take an LB out on a pick or run play, and there are pretty much zero in-line TEs coming out of college any more.

Fisher already knows how to block (not well), so if he can catch even a little bit, he might latch on somewhere. Don't think it's going to be here though, since we are already grooming Rico and Schultz for that role.

The only interest in Fisher is to release Gathers or trade Gathers and use him on blocking downs and goal line at TE.

That's what Rico should have been focusing on from day one. Blocking gets him on the field, and down near the goal line.

Now, that’s funny. You actually got an audible giggle out of me, and I have to appreciate that.

It's too bad he does not seem to "get it".

I was watching some video of practice and I saw an Olineman lined up at offset TE in a low to the ground type 3 point stance. I noticed this guy had bigger arms than the OT or OG in the frame.

It turned out to be Rico not an OL...

He's one of our "clever" signings.
So, you are expecting to fill the 90 man training camp roster with proven standouts? Why is it that every season people act as if they have no idea how this works?
