I think Stanback goes on at least PUP to start season, possibly IR later.

Our WR's until a decison is made are:

1. Owens
2. Crayton
3. Hurd
4. Austin
5. Amendola
6. Jefferson or free agent

If Stanback not on PUP or IR, Jefferson odd man out, possible practice squad.

Todd Lowber to practice squad unless someone like Bears take a chance.

Thoughts?

I don't think Stanback is eligible for PUP. He's been practicing and playing. Stanback is going to have to go on IR or take a roster spot. I just haven't seen enough from Amendola to give him a spot. Jefferson's pretty intriguing with Lowber to PS along with Danny if he can sneak in there.

It's crazy to think that four of those six guys went undrafted and one was drafted in the 7th round.

And somehow some people dont even want to bring Horn in for a look

even though Amendola has more turnovers than catches

If Horn were brought in, it would be after the first week so Dallas or any other team does not have to guarantee his salary for the year. Dallas does not need to depend on the 5th or 6th receiver to go out and catch passes unless there are injuries. If there are injuries that changes everything. Horn does not bring enough to the table at this point in his career. Is he going to play special teams as the #4 receiver? Does he come in as the #5 guy and just remain inactive for every game if the guys above him are healthy? Amendola can do that.

No, he doesn't.

People like you and DB4life do more for the Amendola argument than you can possibly imagine.

Hes got 2 catches and 2 turnovers. I missed the 2nd half of the last game, I didnt see his second catch

Im still holding out hope for Boldin, if not then Horn or another WR yet to be released. Im not ready to count on Amendola.

Yea, hes slow and small and white, but this isnt a movie and the guy doesnt have it.

I love how people put that INT solely on his shoulders. Yeah, he made a mistake, but that ball shouldn't have been thrown regardless. He played well in the last game, anyone saying otherwise is just being hateful.

He'd likely be a a 6th option at WR...if we're 'counting on' anyone in that 6th slot, we're in trouble.

Jefferson is ahead of Amendola on the depth chart so what are you saying ?

1. TO
2. Crayton
3. Hurd
4. Austin out 4-6
5. Stanbach- who knows
?

Ill take Horn as my 4th.

Then again, maybe its smart to wait for the next round of cuts, theres bound to be something there. I just see Horn as someone to at least hold the fort until Austin comes back. I see this as a potential break out year for him. Then Horn could slide to 5th.

Either way, I think were going to bring someone in next week.

I'd wouldn't want Horn any where near this team. IDC who we have as our back ups. Horn is terrible. I'd prefer Lowber over Horn to be honest.

Joe Horn is not an upgrade. If ATL doesn't want him on their lowly squad, why should we?

Now, I think this Lowber kid has a tremendous upside, and we should make an investment in his development. I would hate for someone like Philly to pick him up and make him a star.

Jefferson really impressed me with his play last Friday, but when push comes to shove, in the regular season everything changes.

I am happy with our receivers the way it is. Crayton looks like he could have an explosive year, and Austin and Hurd both show progress.
