Average? Guess 80% of the league is below average then. PFF ranked his play highly last year. Plenty of pundits have him pegged as their breakout candidates. Then of course there are those of us that watched him grow into the 3T position and improve every game before our very own eyes.

You should try harder on your qualitative generalizations.

You should try harder on yours. Your information comes from what you read. My information comes from what I see.

It's not cheap. Probably a million or two more per year than I think he has earned. It also is buying on potential and locking him in cheap if he has the type of year we expect.

It's a prudent decision from out front office and for Tyrone.... A guy who has already had a major injury in his career.

Our front office continues to make strong calculated gambles.

Joke post?

Yesterday when I suggested 5 years, 50 million and 25 guaranteed, you basically laughed me off, yet now you're praising the prudent, strong decisions made by the FO.

Why the sudden change of heart?

So when I said "watched him grow into the 3T" I guess that was hard to understand. You ignored the rest of what I said. Do you think that is compelling or are you just going for the straight troll?

Sorry. That crap don't flush .I am all over the NFL in different team forums. And so far unless you can specifically link to a bunch of them as if it were a common thing my point still stands brother .

Okay. You're better than I on this stuff. Your point, whatever that was, still stands.
Crawford is an average guy and people here are more giddy than anywhere else.

Right? Right?

I am interjecting a dose of reality in a thread of people thinking we just signed a future all pro. As of now he is strictly a potential pro bowler.

No you're not. You are making asinine appeals to authority and avoiding discussion of football as its played on the field. It's cliche troll technique, chachi. You aren't even trying.

Yeah, ducking tomatoes and all but unless he plays better than he ever has, he's not worth that contract. This is a gamble on potential.
That's my problem with it. Maybe they know more than we do (an obvious statement), but unless his play picks up considerably, this is hugely over paying. He wasn't a top 15 player at his position in 2014.

Me avoiding discussion? That is why I am here.

Do we need to discuss how the word 'as' is used in the english language? Try reading it again and this time consider the supporting clause beginning with the word 'as.'

I have no idea of this contract will be a bargain or a bust.

But I do know one thing. This forum knows more than our front office. Just ask anyone here.
