This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 weeks that a player has said we are underrating the talent on the defense.....are we missing out on something?

Also the tidbit about Lee changing the subject to Crawford's progress in practice rather than dwell on his injury just magnifies how sick I am about his injury. Seriously, his injury really just makes my stomach turn. I understand life is not fair but Lee deserves better than this.

I don't know about that. Selfie was on the street last year before we signed him. Melton hasn't seen the field since injury. Crawford hasn't seen the starting line up at all and Dlaw is a rookie. Honestly, I can't name a more unproven line than this right now. If the DL stays healthy they will improve by default. I will be ecstatic if they can be average instead of being bottom dwellers.

Very cheap. The whole defensive unit should keep their mouths shut and go out and prove themselves first. Then they can talk. I honestly don't remember a Cowboys' defensive unit with so many questionable players.

No one expects DLaw to start, that's including DLaw. He is still a pass rush specialist at best. That is more like a nickel d-line than a starting DL.

Hatcher tweeted about nonsense and said that we didn't have leaders.
Ratliff didn't talk to anybody and looked angry.

Frankly this type of brashness has been absent from the defense for the past decade. People are always talking about how passive they have been.

Jerry Jones does nothing to insulate his roster from the media or the fans and there is a whole legion of us that say that he and his fellow rushmen have sucked and will continue to suck. It's not too hard to project an 'us against the world' into that environment.

I don't see how him believing in himself and his teammates in the face of that is a bad thing.
