Crawford was on the Break today, interview starts at the 3 minute mark.

http://www.dallascowboys.com/multim...n_Studio/f8a538b8-f52b-4ccc-a324-251ceed49d81

-He said they heard all the noise about how terrible they were last year and using it as motivation.

-Loves dline chemistry on and off the field.

-Mincey is stepping up as vocal leader.

-His most natural position is left end.

This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 weeks that a player has said we are underrating the talent on the defense.....are we missing out on something?

Key component for success, IMO.

Best news all off-season, hands down.

Yeah, it's nice to hear when the players like each other. I just want us to catch a damn break and to be able to play together with whatever number of relatively average athletes we've got on the field for a while. So sick of all the shuffling, and you know it makes it a lot harder on the coaches finding out what each new guy can do at each new position. A lot harder to make adjustments when you don't have any baseline at all for what half of your guys are able to do under normal circumstances.

Weird, this positive comment ended us up with a negative thread. Go figure.

Maybe because we have heard this every year?

Ware, Witten, Romo ect...

The past few years all we heard is "Something about this team this year is different" Or "I feel this is our year, everyone is more together"

Then what happens?

We come out and lay eggs all over the place, late game mistakes(ints or fumbles), Ware vanishes into thin air, everyone blames injuries, he says it's not the case and next game he will play better and be a force, didn't happen. Guys hanging their heads on the sidelines except for Dez, but everyone is so use to losing they don't even listen to him except for Murray, Carr, and Williams

People keep saying that, but I don't see it. We were one of the worst defenses in the history of the league. We had a couple of games where the defense never forced a punt.

True theres no debating how bad the defense was but there also were times where the got turnovers and stops against some pretty good offenses only to have our offense send them right back on the field.

Yeah....then there's that. I hear what you're saying.

However, I believe if they feel they've got each others back the inevitable transition(s) would be much smoother.

Keep the opponents to under 30 points per game and I will be happy with next season's D.

That is how I rate this D this year.

And I hate to say it (just hate it) but last year's D will prove to be way more talented than this year's. You dont half to belief me, just check in with me at the end of the season. In December.

Rob Ryan supposedly brought swagger and people couldn't wait to bash him and congratulate the team on getting rid of the guy.

Guess it was the wrong kind of swagger.

I think Ryan would have been better with this bunch.

The NFL is a league with great changes and swings from one season to the next. How many here predicted Seattle winning the super bowl and not Atlanta, San Fran, etc...? Who knew KC were going to be so good? You can go from sugar to **** in the NFL and vice versa in one season. So why not us? We have been on the cusp for the last 3 seasons. I doubt we sit the fence this year, we are going to be good or really bad this year. I hoping for being really good.

What gets me is how many teams that make the playoffs one year then don't the next. Isn't there something like an average of 6 new playoff teams each year?

In any walk of life, if you have achieved nothing at your current level of competition and you start talking about "shocking the world"..... Most rational people will roll their eyes ask for actual production

Only on CZ is this perfectly rational response considered unreasonable

Rational people will also take what was said by a professional football player, in the context of football, and understand that it's quite okay to respond to the posed question in a positive manner.

Well, mein freund, this year will be the one that the offense will HALF TO, i repeat, HALF TO, I doublepeat HALF, I triplepeat HALF TO bail out the defense.

I cannot see it any other way this coming season. Mens this will be brutal at times.
Ever one say a novena for the defense because they will need religion and talent and stuff.

Love the enthusiasm but I wish our players would stop saying stuff like this. We keep hearing it but it never translates to the field.

So, a player or two say something positive about this coming season = the same fans ***** and moan and say shut up.

So, no players say anything about being positive about this season = the same fans say they have no heart or are not NFL ready or some other bull. lol

Stevie Wonder can spot them a mile away! lol

(stupid cowboy fans)
