What gets me is how many teams that make the playoffs one year then don't the next. Isn't there something like an average of 6 new playoff teams each year?
If your right that comes out to a team at least making the playoffs once every 5 years. Maybe the Cowboys are due.......

So, a player or two say something positive about this coming season = the same fans ***** and moan and say shut up.

So, no players say anything about being positive about this season = the same fans say they have no heart or are not NFL ready or some other bull. lol

Stevie Wonder can spot them a mile away! lol

(stupid cowboy fans)

Crawford was on the Break today, interview starts at the 3 minute mark.

-He said they heard all the noise about how terrible they were last year and using it as motivation.

-Loves dline chemistry on and off the field.

-Mincey is stepping up as vocal leader.

-His most natural position is left end.

This is the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 weeks that a player has said we are underrating the talent on the defense.....are we missing out on something?

You get a rare like from me, Zordon. Very rare. Good share here, though.

I like his confidence. I hope he's right and they do great things on the field of play.

and thus, another thread follows the path of every other thread in the zone....many people have this to looks forward to each day: wake up (many from their parent's basement), cereal/coffee, look for a job, post negative comment about (fill in the blank) thread, lunch, look for a job, post negative comment....(you get the idea)

some people gotta complain to feel alive!!!

IMO, I wish the guys (players) would accomplish something before talking, but I also love confidence...I just want to hear more during the season....I am patient....

some believe criticizing makes then appear wise and in the know.

With the loss of 52% of the sacks and the defense sucking wind before JUNE I would suspect an increase of ONE ***** sack would shock the feeble minded nation and OMG if they get 2 more sacks than last year put some plastic on the carpet.

Weird, this positive comment ended us up with a negative thread. Go figure.

Yeah but if they went on an information lockdown and just "no comment" all summer we'd hear that they had tails tucked or lacked confidence. You cant win with some people. Let them repeat the same "talk is cheap" line all summer. There aren't games to prove it during for awhile so talk is all you get

I seem to remember the year before when Jerry said "I am giving you a great DL to work with when they recover from their injuries". This year those guys are gone and we go out and find more injured DLmen to take their place and you think the results will change? My thoughts are the young DLmen you got this year who are not injured will be the stars later and the so called injured vets will be riding the bench! The defense does have a chance of being some where in the middle of the defensive rankings in the NFL.

PS

The only way left is up when you are at the bottom!

You get a like but my counter is getting 'injured players' last year is not predictive of how they will perform this year. You need to look at each one separately for its own merits.

Melton is a good risk assuming he has an injury friendly contract.

But you're right about it being risky to depend on injured players coming in and performing.

In any walk of life, if you have achieved nothing at your current level of competition and you start talking about "shocking the world"..... Most rational people will roll their eyes ask for actual production

Only on CZ is this perfectly rational response considered unreasonable

If you hinge your response on part of one sentence out of an entire interview then it is not unreasonable to react negatively. It's just unreasonable to make your reaction rest on that one part and not moderate it with his entire conversation.

Many people would react to just that one comment with encouragement rather than annoyed, bored, dissenting disbelief or disdain. Depends on your outlook.
