I don't mind the yapping as much as what he did during the game when he scored the TD. It is embarassing on the replay even. It just doesn't look right.
I loved it! After all the jaw-jacking that the Little Giants did prior (and during, apparentely) to the game they deserved a l'il "in-yo-face" attitude! As long as 84 keeps producing on the field, he can run his flap all he wants in my book! I just hope he remains confident without becoming arrogant, that's when I think athletes begin to cross the line (albeit a fine one)!

You guys realize that he will be FA at the end of the year, right? He is just doing everything he can to get his name out there and get noticed. If you were on the same team as TO, Witten, Glenn, Romo etc.. you might take some extra steps to be seen as well. He is just working for a payday.. and I am not going to blame him for that.

I actually like that he's talking a little trash. I'm tired of the days where everyone is polite to eachother and there isn't a lot of animosity between teams.

I want Crayton and others to speak their mind, and tell the rest of the league we're the best out there, not just sit back all timid and say, "aw shucks, they're a very good team. We just got a few more bounces then they did."

That's for pop warner, not the NFL.
Sounds a little gangsterish to me. When he goes the next two games without a catch, all I want to hear is: I can do better than I've been doing.

"gangsterish", is that a word?! ;) Anyways, I don't recall him running his mouth after a BAD game, so I don't think you have to worry about that!

I'll second that,,,

If Crayton had initiated the trash talk then I might feel differently, but laying the verbal smackdown on that bunch of trash-talking fools is more than alright by me, they earned all the disrespect they get.

To Smack talk, or not to Smack talk: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

you have to understand that players talk to get recognized. do you think chad johnson would have any commercials if not for his antics? i like a little cockyness, but i don't blame guys for promoting themselves. this is how they make a living

I have no problem with it.

He is simply looking for some exposure.

The more he says crazy things, the more national recognition he'll receive.

More recognition = more money in the off season.

Smart man.

As long as he is making plays. I saw someone say Chad Johnson, the reason he gets the big bucks is because of the big numbers he puts up. No team is going out and paying for a trash talker unless he is producing.

Assuming the pundits are right, and we face the Pats in the Super Bowl, he'll be asked about the comments he made about their defense earlier this year. When that happens, if he doesn't downplay them, all I know is he'd better show up on game day.

Agree that it's hard to get much recognition when your teammates are Romo, TO, Witten & Barber. And I do think that Crayton is doing a good job --not great--as our current #2. Wonder when Julius Jones decides he needs to publicize himself more so he can get some offers when season is over? Although must admit I really do like his hard running in the last few games.

If we face the Pats in the SB he better show up regardless. Talk does not mean anything and changes nothing. Pats are not going to take it any easier because someone trashed talked or not.
