Vintage;2577801 said:In the beginning, he said there weren't chemistry issues. That it was like a normal team, there was going to be disagreements.
Said he was in better shape (condition) because of Owens work ethic. Its rubbed off on him and other players.
Questioned Werder's sources. Made a joke about the FBI should look into it. Implied the sources weren't from within the lockerroom.
Owens works hard, etc.
Then I left to piss.
Came back, they asked him if he thought Owens would be back.
He said he thought Owens would be a Cowboy, but its not up to him.
Vintage;2577782 said:Interesting.
What does Crayton know?
He isn't in the locker room.
dcfanatic;2577858 said:"By the end of the season, I would say maybe a little rocky," Crayton said. "A little rocky because I think sometimes when you sit down and you have man-to-man talks, I know Terrell is one of those guys who is not going to bite his tongue, and if you're not going to be straightforward with him, there's not going to be a respect there. If you're not going to shoot him straightforward when he's shooting you straightforward and being honest ...
"He's one of those guys, like several other players, we wear our hearts on our sleeve. When it comes time to get business done on the field, that's what we're about. If you're not going to be straightforward, you're going to lose some respect there. They always say respect is earned; it's not given. You have to earn the respect of a player like that."[/COLOR]
And then he went on to say that T.O. respects Jason Garrett 'to a degree'...
Does T.O. respect Jason Garrett?
"I think he respects him to a degree," Crayton said. "I'm not sure exactly. You really have to ask him how much he really respects him totally. I'm not sure if he respects him totally because of some of the comments and some of the things that happened throughout the season."
Can T.O. and Garrett work together again?
"Yeah, I think you could definitely see them working together," Crayton said. "But, like I said, that's going to have to be a man-to-man sit-down talk. It's going to have to be no sugarcoating. Everything has to be laid out on the line. You can't be afraid to hurt somebody's feelings, because it's going to have to be said in order for us to move on and be back to the form when had in 2007 when we were 13-3 and we were on the brink of making history again.
"This past season was just really, really disappointing, just because we had all the talent but we didn't have that one thing we needed to get us over the hump, and that was some togetherness."

Chocolate Lab;2577885 said:The problem with all this is that TO has proven he can't take this non-sugarcoated, all-out-in-the-open talk he supposedly wants. Just ask Brad Childress or Todd Haley.
As usual, it's a one-way street with him. He can trash people and it's "honesty" and "straight shooting". When someone does it to him, he's being disrespected.
dcfanatic;2577858 said:Here's what I love about the T.O. fan club.
You mention nothing about the FACT that Crayton just said the relationship between T.O. and the coaching staff was ROCKY at the end of the season.
After some harping about Ed Werder's unnamed sources, the interview really got interesting when Crayton was asked about T.O.'s relationship with the coaching staff.
"By the end of the season, I would say maybe a little rocky," Crayton said. But let's leave all that out in trying to say that Crayton said nothing was wrong, lol.
And what history is Crayton talking about?
The history of being the first #1 seed to flop at home and not even win one playoff game?

irvin4evs;2577889 said:Am I the only one who remembers when a bunch of prominent Giants had their name in the press questioning Tom Coughlin and his methods? Michael Strahan, IIRC, called out Coughlin's discipline methods publicly.
They should have run him out of town for that crap! Sure, they won a super bowl shortly afterwards and he was one of their five best players, but you can't have players who say what they think!
Sure, you might say, "Hey! Doing what Dave Campo said didn't do us any good!" but I'll say, "Hey! Yes it did."
irvin4evs;2577893 said:There's this one guy named Peyton Manning. I don't know.

dcfanatic;2577876 said:Dude, you convienently left at the part where he said all the 'bad stuff', lol.
You are so full of it bro.
Chocolate Lab;2577834 said:These guys know so much more than they can say in print. Wish they could tell it all, but they can't.
Vintage;2577892 said:At the time of the first post, the interview was just starting.
So...
He hadn't said that stuff at that point. And in the beginning, he was defending Owens.
So unless you expect me to know what Crayton was going to say ahead of time...
Epic failure on your part.
Vintage;2577901 said:I left to piss.
I didn't conveniently leave out anything.
I missed part of the interview.
I in fact said so.
You are so full of it.
dcfanatic;2577897 said:And?
What does that mean?
Explain how I need a history lesson Mr. know it all.
We are all waiting.
Nope, I have to disagree with that. Like I said, Galloway has backed Crayton forever even though Owens has been here three full seasons now. It's only the last few weeks that he's changed his mind and said this about Crayton.Yakuza Rich;2577902 said:You think so? They've been proven dead wrong far, far, FAR more times than they've been proven right. Tells me they don't know jack squat and to take most of them with a grain of salt.
Of course Galloway is going to trash Crayton. Galloway has been trashing Owens even before he started practicing with the team, resorting to cheap shots an immature insults. So when Crayton dares to back Owens, Galloway has to trash Crayton because it goes against what Galloway has been claiming all along.
