we now don't want to give them any. Sometimes you have to give credit where credit is due.

Said the Cowboys are playing well. Playing with good chemistry. Romo threw to 10 different receivers. There's no pressure to find a #1. Mentioned Miles, but he was more impressed that Romo threw to 10 different receivers.

He said more stuff, but the first line is what stood out.

I wouldn't mind if they don't mention us at all. I like flying under the radar. Let them crown the Vikings and the saints. Well see what were made of these next 2 weeks.

My sentiments exactly. If they want to prematurely crown a team, let it be the Vikes or Ain'ts.

We have been down that road and all it led to was a one and done. I am really liking the way this team is going about their business, if they keep this up the sky is the limit.

I'd like our team to be quietly confident. Just focus on the game and not on the press clippings.

Agreed...I'm not ever going to care what CC, King or any of these other 'experts' have to say...Scoreboard, that's all anyone needs to be 'concerned' about

Granted, I don't agree with much that ESPN or anyone who works there says, but this is one instance where I will.

I'm of a similar mind when it comes to my favorite team. They were annointed by many - myself included - as the cream of the NFC crop last season and they failed to live up to those expectations.

As a result of disappointment and inconsistancy, I find myself watching with arms crossed asking the team to "show me".

And I will happily admit that for the past two weeks that they have done exactly that.

They've looked like a well-prepared, dare I say it, well-coached team that is playing up to its' potential.

A good game against the Eagles will go a long way towards this fan "believing" again.

Without T.O., Romo is doing what McNabb has been doing for years now - throwing to the guy that's open. Go look at Philly's pass catching distribution from '06-'08. Each year, at least 10 people caught 10+ passes. Last year was even more ridiculous in that 8 (yes, 8) people caught 25+ passes (with a high of 62 for D. Jackson). That's how this years version of the Dallas O has kept putting up numbers even though it still isn't firing on all cylinders.

Are you saying that McNabb wasn't distributing the ball when TO was on their team? Michael Westbrook started touching the ball more and became a dominant feature of that offense. Desean Jackson is their new TO and Miles Austin is the reason that this offense has opened up... It is hard to deny the impact of a game-breaking WR...

they're right on this.

too much pre-annointing and too much "hype" and well too many playoff loses, bad loses and poor Dec/Jan record for well over a decade now.

Having a long, recent history of folding like a cheap suit doesn't embrace accolades. not when other teams are playing out of their minds (and we have beat only 1 good team thus far). Not when your HC would not be hired by any other GM.

lets get real fans.

Actually Khiladi, you're right. I stand corrected. In '04, Philly had 8 people with 10+ catches, and 6 of them had at least 22. I guess I'm thinking about '05, when McNabb seemed to be throwing him at least 10 passes a game before he got suspended - he had 47 catches in 7 games.

Anyway, the main point is that Philly's offense (since Reid took over) is predicated on simply spreading the ball around. The Dallas offense seems to be doing that mor this year than in years past.

Romo throwing to 10 different receivers/RB can't be mentioned enough. I thought he spread it around so effectively when he first was thrown into action. I thought he lost some of that over the past couple years with TO AND Witten as well. ps I love getting it to Felix out of the backfield.

DON'T EAT THE CHEESE!!

ESPN normally has no trouble finding fault with Dallas, and saying such.

So when they are saying something nice, it always seems to me that they are buttering us up, hoping the team will believe they are good or have already accomplished something, so we will stumble and fall so they can go back to finding fault with us, ... where they are comfortable.

When they say something nice they are not complementing us, they are setting us up for failure.

It was a call-in spot, so it was all audio. But he sounded like he really liked the Cowboys.

And considering Vintage posted something the other day about him picking the 'boys for the NFCE.
