There was only one blurb, but Mike Greenberg asked Cris Carter what he thought of the "December collapse" and the "uh-oh" in Dallas. Cris Carter said something to the effect of past years having no bearing on this team, and that the play of the quarterback is most important to any team in any month, not just December, and that if Romo can match yesterdays performance or even come close, the Cowboys will be just fine.

Romo had two bad throws yesterday. The other 52 guys play as consistently as him and we are the best team in football. Pisses me off that fans and local media don't realize that he isn't the problem. Call Drew Bledose back so we can give these tards a dose of perspective.

Or Clint Stoerner, or Ryan Leaf, or Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Brooks Bollinger, Brad Johnson.

The list goes on and on.

Two ESPNers defending Dallas in one day?

We may not win a game for 2 years. Talk about the kiss of death!

Tell me about it!

I really think he's speaking the truth though. No way we continue to if Tony plays like that, as long as the rest of our team doesn't give the game away like they did yesterday.

Wow. He's at least partially right. Though I think it's almost a given that Rivers and Brees, at least, will play us at the level Romo played last night. So we better have some other powder dry someplace. I thought it was going to be our defense, but we'll see.

I am glad to see a couple of folks taking notice of the fact that Tony Romo played darn well yesterday and that his performance was more than worthy of a victory and yet the defense and special teams cost him that.

Romo did great. Now we need the what if's to discount the defense/ST missed tackles, lack of a running game and we can erase the December curse.

That is very true, I think romo is very close to becoming elite, but the whole team has to step up too and not turn the ball over, let a punt returner return the ball for a TD.

We sure do say "if" alot.

If Romo keeps playing like that....

If the defense plays like they did against Oakland...

If we dont continue to make mistakes...

My only fault of Romo is that the team did not score more points. I'm discounting the late score as it was too late by then. Now that's not all on Tony. In fact most of its not. But I don't care if he throws for 500 yards if we still lose.

We are gaining too many yards for the amount of points scored.

OTOH, I agree with others that if he continues his present play we will likely be ok.
