Crockett claimed

Crockett was likely picked up for special teams purposes and as an aside is a RB. If he ever sees any snaps I'd really be surprised.

Thompson won't be cut with only 2 games left and then the playoffs. Next summer I don't expect him to make the final 53. I'd like to trade him to the Dolphins however. You think BP would give us a 7th for him? :D

thompson + any TE other then Witten curtis and fasno or both good - 2 draft picks for mdfadden

No doubt, theebs. I think only having two RBs active for the game is very dicey anyway. Imagine if Julius got hurt early in a game? We all love Barber, but giving him every carry in a game wouldn't be smart.

With the way Jason calls plays, all the carries would be somewhere between 15 and 20 a game. I think Barber could handle that work load just fine.;)

Let me know when the team we offer that trade to stops laughing.

I guess we could also use Crockett as a short yardage back . . . .

parcells gets a job in the league he will sign tyson, he saw something in the kid and I gotta admit I really like him too.

Tyson is a north and south guy only. He has no wiggle to him, and no vision. See ya Tyson.

wow...isn't he a BP type of pick up?

GOSH I hope not!!

hopefully he isn't another Eddie George retread...

Somebody needs to inject some juice in this running game.

He's old, but I kind of like this. For one thing, this team is awfully light in the backfield. Tyson Thompson does nothing for you, so maybe Crockett can end up killing two birds with one stone. He can be a backup FB, which is a bit of a need, and he can help you on special teams too.

Of course, Zack is pretty old, and I doubt he has a ton left. But if you cut him first thing on Monday, you haven't lost anything.

we dont need players for that, skip peete was grudens running backs coach in oakland. he knows crockett from then and he knows grudens offense.

It's been 5 years + since Peete worked with Gruden, it's been a couple days for Crockett....

Crockett was signed to take RW's spot on the roster this weekend. Who knows if he'll stick after the Carolina game.

The bottom line is he can play ST to help alleviate PW's absense. He is an offensive type of fullback for short yardage and goaline, but we already use MB3 for that, but gives us another person for teams to watch out for in those situations.
