I remember some time ago, Nors and a couple other people had clashing thoughts, and a proposal was made, if soomeone was wrong they would have to put this crow image in their avatar for an certain amount of time. Now, this Al Singleton thing is getting annoying for almost everyone here, its become the new "ty law" so I want to make a proposal using this avatar if it still exists.

My proposal is this, if Al Singleton is Cut one of the Moderators has to put up that avatar for 2 weeks. If Al Singleton is the starter at the beginning of the year, then Nors has to put up that avatar for 2 weeks. If he is a back-up, then we will call it a draw and nobody has to do anything. I personally will put up the avatar, but I don't think I'm enough of a figure to make this fair. If one of the Mods would like to volunteer, it would make this work. I await both sides.

I just want to clarify that this doesn't mean that I don't have faith in Burnett being the starter. On the contrary, he is my favorite of the draftees. But, I feel that Singleton will probably be the starter at the beginning of the year due to experience.

Why a moderator? If I remember correctly, there were several users debating with Nors more vigorously than any moderator. I know I haven't commented at all on it for example.

That crow avatar was mine..I put it in on my own accord tho...the day VT was signed.

Just couldn't fathom that Tuna hadn't seen his 2001-04 performances.

PS If no mod wants to take that challenge, I will.

I don't see him getting cut though. Parcells has already pointed out concern over the lack of depth at olb. He would be relying an awful lot on the young guys if al gets cut.

Well it doesn't have to be a moderator, just someone of equal weight in the forum who disagrees with him on this topic.

why not everyone who agrees either way agree to this? and those who don't care stay out of it. Actually sounds pretty good. I'd start a sticky thread and those with nors and those against then if he's cut or stays the mods apply the crow to everyone who loses for the two weeks kinks like a scarlet letter.

I kind of like that idea, only it wouldn't be fair. The flip side to that would be if he gets cut, we would have to keep it up until he is signed again.

Let me think about this - I say open it up like a poll. All can play - but all that lose must wear the crow av for a defined period of time.

I don't think Nors should be required to sport a crow in his avatar when, oops, if he loses.

His avatar should be a pic of the small, slow, overpaid, 3-4 challenged "Als".

THAT would hurt.

Nors, you haven't been quite as redundantly irksome about Dre as you have about Als.

Or maybe it's just that Dre screwed up last year...Al didn't, so you going off on him is more irritating.

OK. let me know what we go with. I actually think Singleton could start (first series) then give way to Burnett as game goes on and Burnett gets more playing time.

Nors mantra is Als is packing his bags..that his unsuitability for the 3-4 and cap hit spell O-U-T.

Still here but not starting don't do it.
