Crowd noise in KC when they had the ball

One thing I forgot to mention about my trip to the game in KC last Sunday. When their offense had the ball, the stadium piped in the "shhhhh" sound on all the speakers. It really worked (until the 4th quarter when our fans took over) and I thought that I would be great for our stadium sound operator to do the same. Slim to none chance of that happening, but I think it might work for us.

According to the rules, no.

I didn't know that you couldn't use noise meters at all. Pretty interesting as they definitely allow it at NBA games. Hell, at Wizards games, the hype-man will get on the jumbotron and say "MAKE SOME NOISE, WIZARDS FANS!"

Seemed pretty loud for both teams since there appeared to be ample Cowboys fans at the game

Not in the first half, when KC had the ball it was dead quiet.

TV is a bit mis-leading it just seemed that the Cowboys crowd was loud.

It was.

There was almost a 50/50 mix also. A combination of Chief fans resigned to the fact they were going to lose another game and overly excited Cowboys fans who rarely get a chance to see their team live only enhanced things.

I can tell you those in my group were very loud and proud. Just ask the Chief fans around us who kept giving us dirty looks. :D

Did I understand right? When the Chiefs are on Offense the sound system gives them a tip to shush?

Very true. And annoying.

It wasn't SHHHHHHHHH more like shhhhhhhhh. At first I was confused by that. This noise sounding like a snake hissing came on every time the Chefs had the ball. When I figured it out I thought oh brother.

Okay, that's really sissy. No wonder they lose.

I was in 136, had many people in plain clothes next to me, I think they were season ticket holders. Also had Dallas Cowboys marketing and team sponsors to the right of me. Nice people, but not rowdy.

I live in Kansas and I go to Arrowhead alot and when the Chiefs are good that stadium rocks!! Great place to watch a game. I finally went to Texas Stadium 2 years ago and was extremely disappointed how bad the fans were at the game.

:laugh2:

I'm going to pass that along to my ex girlfriend, who is a diehard KC fan, and went to the game.

They hate me now anyway, so a little extra ribbing will just make me feel better

I cant wait to see what happens at Arrowhead when they play the Steelers. Those fans travel well. It will be like a home game for the Steelers. Tickets are really cheap now too.

Hmm, I completely missed that sound being played. I know they have "Quiet, Entering Audible Zone" or something on the video ring that goes around the stadium though.
