Here is what I truly don't understand .. If some that are here are Dallas cowboy fans yet they don't feel anything will ever change for the better (which I assume means no chance at winning anything that matters ever again)
These fans claim as long as Jerry is in charge and now some say Stephen will continue this .. We are doomed ..,..

Then why remain a fan of The Dallas cowboys? Why come here to the zone and spew the same rhetoric over and over?
I mean we get it.. You feel JJ is horrible .. Heck I even agree with some of it but here's a clue... IT isn't changing .. He owns the team... Period... He will do what he wants, how he wants and when he wants.. Your choice is A) tune out find another team
B) remain hopeful that someday it will get better
C) stay miserable.. Continue the doom and gloom and I guess feel better about yourself when you do it ., especially if you stomp on anyone else that might say anything remotely positive or hopeful

Sorry , just don't get it

We're all battered spouses. We are getting beaten down by Jerry Jones year after year. Some of us just turn a blind eye to the problem, take our beatings, our black eyes and broken bones, and spend the down times recovering and just come back for more next year. Some of us are at least identifying that there is a problem. We are the loyal spouse who doesn't want to give up on our life-long relationships, but recognize it's getting to be too much to handle.

Personally, I'm getting closer to divorcing this team every day. But here's the thing. This is my relationship with the team, it's not yours. I think you should start to recognize and admit that there is a problem, but that's really not my decision to make, just like it's not your decision to make how I handle my relationship with the team.

Because this is a message board, and you know, a place to share ideas, we have just as much of a right as you to share. If it bothers you that much to read, then don't read it.

Cool your jets ... You obviously misread my post .. I think I very clearly stated that I agree with most of what is said about JJ.. I don't think I ever said you shouldn't post it either.. In fact that was listed as one of the choices .., what I don't understand is if you or others feel like it will never change ?? Then why stay .. Not saying you can't as it is your choice .. However I do feel your insensitive comparison of being a football fan to that of a person who is in a violent relationship is extremely over the top and I take offense to that comparison...

But back on topic .. Please read someone's post and comprehend its point before you assume and attack..

Never once do I put down or say ill words on someone posting the same negative rhetoric .. I simply truly don't understand why someone would want to remain a fan of a team that according to them will never change and makes them miserable...
Did you read me saying JJ is great?
Did I write that it's going to change?
I'll help you out... No I did not
But again when someone doesn't say hey so and so your right JJ sucks and we are doomed forever then someone like yourself ASSumes that they must be blind faith fan who sees nothing but rainbows and roses... So you pounce

So I guess part of my case and point is proven

It's hard to compare them when JJ is still in charge and SJ hasn't stepped in.

Not really. He is getting more and more vocal as the years progress.

Fifteen years ago, even ten years ago, you rarely heard much from him. Now, he is even more visible than your average NFL GM.

There is quite a bit out there that could lead someone to believe he is not that much different from his father. He does not seem to be a reluctant heir to the throne that will just remain in the shadows when his time comes. He will be front and center if what he has been doing in recent years is any indication.

Good points, but at the end of the day we won't know until he takes over completely.

I honestly think Stephen has seen what happens when you get your hand a little to close to the fire. I don't think he's built like Jerry and enjoys the contractual and numbers part of the process. He would have a hard time convincing anybody of his GM prowess and I think he wants no part of it.

But if you ever hear him say this...

"I have neither the time nor the inclination to answer to fans who cheer the very organization that I own, then question the manner in which I own it. I would just as soon you all say thank you and be on your way. Either way...I don't give a damn what any of you think! Are we clear?"

Then we're in trouble.

My question is when Stephen takes over is Shy going to clean his glasses like he does Jerry's?

Well, care to give us the winning lottery numbers?
