QB Jameill Showers is the second confirmed signing. The Cowboys were intrigued enough by his skill set and his versatility to sign him to the PS. Showers finished the preseason 15-of-32 passing for 125 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and stood out for his special teams play as well, where he led Special Teams with three tackles through three games.

I just don't think he does week 1. In preseason game 3, the dress rehearsal, Beasley was.

Hanna likely not playing. Same with Street. Both nicked up. Only reason Whitehead is on 53 is for ST, he's playing.

Hanna got hurt August 13, and it was said he'd only miss a week or 2 (sprained knee). I expect him to play unless Cowboys are being overly catious.

Whitehead dresses for STs including returner. Smith sits. Not sure how the work Swaim in. Probably won't. If Hitchens doesn't dress then Smith does.

In fact, multiple sources have claimed Gibson would not be re-signing to the practice squad.

No doubt.

I was willing to keep Laurence Gibson on the 53 given his improvement and how difficult it can be to find OL during the season.

Dallas may have been trying to sign another OT first and that player opted to stay with the team that cut him on their practice squad.

The Cowboys are really taking their time announcing practice squad signings.

Yeah I forget that guys and their agents are even mulling offers that would pay above the usual $6600 per week, to jump to another team's p squad. ... Guys may be in for tryouts today before they're slotted on the practice squad, (or even signed to the 53) you have to figure.
