Cut Barron

Thanks, I forgot to add Bennett's.

Fixed.

Just messing... because I am so wired after that final play that I may not make it to sleep tonight.

I dont recall Free having a holding call, he did have one false start.

Unlike most, I dont fault Bennett for his block in the back either. He was hustling and trying to help a WR in the open make a play. Hall would have probably made the tackle otherwise, and Bennett was really close to having a great block.

I wasn't sure on Free, but you're probably right.

I'm tired and frustrated...going to bed.

My boi Free did net one penalty but it was a false start & not holding.

Glad to see it wasn't just me. Total lack of effort on his part on the most important play of the game... Just move your feet for literally four seconds at the most and we win. But nope, that would be too hard.

And the yukking it up afterwards was just icing on the cake. Sickening.

I would cut him and just play Brewster. Seriously. Say what you want about Brewster -- he may be fat and he may walk like a 70-year-old-man -- but he battles his guts out and you can tell he CARES.

word. I've said this before and I'll say it again. Give me hard working guys that gives a lot of effort of these "talented" players.

Dallas had Phil Loadholt's name on the draft card in 2009 and traded down. 2nd round

Wow. That really is looking like a bad move now.

The Vikings flipped Loadholt to LT when McKinnie got hurt against the Saints.

That trade down is really coming back to bite the Cowboys, imo.

Loadholt played for the Vikings last year while Adams left the game hurt and Colombo got abused.

Tonight, I had to watch Alex Barron take away what should have been one of the Dallas' greatest victories, despite our dumb coaches.

It would have been revenge for 2005 (at Dallas, with the same score).

14-13

Assuming our kicker could make the extra point...

All of you homers who think that nobody wearing a star can do anything wrong didn't listen in the off-season. He was a bum in St. Louis, why would he suddenly change just because he's a Cowboy.

Ding. Ding. Ding.

This. I was amazed at the stupidity of the homers.

As if the Rams would trade anything worthwhile in exchange for a guy (Carpenter) we were going to cut.

He wasnt the only one either. There were tons of guys doing it.

I'm not saying they dont care, but the appearance is that they didnt care enough. Staubach never would have done that, niether would Aikman. And Jimmy would have been busting peoples ***** if he ever saw it.

Its sad to say, but the fans care about winning and losing a hell of alot more than the players do. As long as they get paid, it doesnt really matter who wins. Why the hell do you think our guys were celebrating the season being over on the plane ride home from Minny last year?? I was freaking depressed for a week and these guys are playing music, playing cards, deciding where they are going to vacation at, ect....

Like I said, the fans take loses a hell of alot harder than the players do.

You can't convince me that one of the young guys we cut isn't as good as Barron. At least we could develop one of the young guys. Barron is a penalty waiting to happen. HE SUCKS!!!!!

I think Brewster deserves a chance. He can't be worse.

i agree, cant be worse than barron.atleast he will play with passion for the game.

I don't see why they sign this guy in the 1st place, they new he could not play. All they had to do was ask The Rams.Jerry need to stop thinking just because you come to the Cowboys you will be a good player and coach.

I wanted him gone in preseason after I saw him get whipped by Cincinnati's camp bodies in Canton.

Get rid of him, Cowboys. Do the right thing. I'd much rather take the risk/reward of Brewster becoming another Doug Free than have Barron giving away critical division games to inferior teams.

This should be Barron's last rodeo. He grabbed his guy around the neck like he was wrasslin' a steer. Time to tie him to a horse and ride his butt off into the sunset.

On second thought, no need to tie him down. He can hold on pretty good by himself.

Seriously get one of em in here, and dont give me the Columbo company line.

Here is the deal with cutting Barron.

While Colombo is out, your only other tackle is Robert Brewster.

Brewster is without question worse than Barron. Brewster says he is in the best shape of his life, yet he easily has well over 50lbs of blubber on his stomach. (I saw him raise his shirt!) This kid is FAT and SLOW. He MUST convert some of that fat to muscle. Until then, he can't replace Barron unless you want Romo seriously injured. I will take Barron's holding call over Brewster flat out whiffing and Romo end up being roadkill.

Now, you also have Sam Young. This guy is raw, but at least he appears to be a fighter. I would be far more likely to replace Barron with Young than fat*** Brewster. (even though I would be extremely nervous with Sam in there too) The problem is Sam was injured and has even less experience than he could have had when he returns if he had played the entire preseason.

So, basically our choice is take the least of two evils. Right now, I have to go with Barron. Romo is far to important to this team to let Brewster man the right tackle position....

:(

Funny how Jerry doesn't mind opening up his purse for every skill position in the world but when it comes to protecting your QB we're trying to make do with a generic brand of stale Doritos.
