Cut or Trade 3

Dez has zero trade value. That won't help us any at all.
There are teams that have need and money. You can bet some of them can evaluate that the issue isn't all Dez and think he could be just fine in their system. Will it happen, who knows.

Hey I'm all fri us getting compensation for Traci g Dez. That would tickle me pink. But I just don't see it happening.

The only one on the list that has real trade value is Dez.
You might could put scandrick in a trade package but not on his own at this point in his career. If he can be a depth player, fine. If not, then cut him.
Crawford - pay cut and keep another year.
Twill - understand the frustration but cutting him this year would be silly.
Witten - go to him and explain a reduced role and let him decide whether to return or retire.
Beasley - I love him but if plan is to move forward with Switzer, trade him to get some value.
Beasley can play. Ignoring who throws him the ball. Think he's happy about that?
Witten does more than just catch. Bring in somebody to beat him out. See how great Dak's numbers get without Witten catching his 5 yarders.
Scandrick is as good as gone anyways. They drafted two guys who can take his position already.
And you can bet Dez would probably love to go to a team with a QB.

Trade: Beasely. Cole's replacement is already n house with Switz. Dealing Bease should net a 5th rounder, plus save 3.25M.

Trade/Cut: James Hanna. A reliable TE2 on a cheap deal, might be tradeable yet i doubt et. So, cut Hanna freeing up 2M n cap space an freeing up snaps for Swaim n Jarwin.

Trade/Cut: Scandy. "Father time bro", plus injuries have slowed down this 4.3 cover guy. Some team needing a veteran slot could bite especially around TC when injuries mount. X. Woods, AB, BJ (now a CB), an Duke Thomas makes keeping Scandy around less likely.

Dez. Overpaid and under performing. And he appears to be a distraction.

Bell. Just not able to be a viable swing tackle. Must upgrade this position for the inevitability of Smith having a back flair up.

Green. Should have never been drafted in the third round and is still on the team becUse it's hard to cut a high draft pick. If he was selected in the seventh he would have been cut. I would love to know who decided on him as a third rounder.

Chaz Green...
Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice...

Orlando Scandrick
Toast! Weak link!

Terrance Williams
Waste of space! Wasnt it Parcells who said hit him with hammer the next time he drafts a dumb player?

I'd go with what Bob Haze said. I vote Bob to take over GM for Booger and son.

I hear you. But You don't usually make cuts in Feb. The team won't be making their final offseason "cut" decisions until after the draft and free agency period.

Yes June first goes without saying....

Give me three players you would cut, trade, or a combination of both mixed in between, that you believe this team needs to move on from. Dead weight, progress stoppers, lost a step, lost two steps, not worth the contract, injury prone, position needs to be upgraded/churned, all of the above, etc, etc...

Here are some examples:

Dez
Witten
T-Will

Crawford
Scandrick
Mayowa

Green
Bell
Looney

My first three are brazen and even though it might set us back 1-2 seasons, it’s addition by subtraction. Granted our coaches aren’t creative enough to do something with what we would have left plus maybe adding a few vet fa’s and a draft pick or two, but our secondary looks good!!!

Hypothetically speaking and God forbid but say if our team goes 7-9 or worse because we did nothing, then we contemplate this idea with a more open mind and get more participation in this type of discussion. Sometimes it takes drastic changes to yield better results.

Say what you will about Butler being inconsistent and injury prone but when he was on he flashed far brighter than both Dez and T-Will and this is only an indictment of both our #1&2, something has got to change, these guys are too comfortable....

Cut
Bell
Williams
Wilbur

2 TE's and actually use the rest. Right now we have Witten, Hanna, Swaim, Jarwin and Rico. 3 of them is enough, so stick with Witten (lesser player than he once was, but still runs great routes and has great hands), and decide which of the others are worth keeping and actually incorporate them into the offense as receivers and not just occasional blockers.

Cut either Green or Bell and draft a strong swing tackle that has potential to develop.

Dez, Crawford, Witten. Ill go with the overpaid route. Time to churn the roster and get these overpaid has beens off the roster. Hard to see Witten go, but cant move on till he is gone.

Dez and Witten don’t get cut unless you have a replacement.
I don't see Dez getting cut unless we sign a quality WR in free agency. Then I would expect us to draft a WR early too.

With Butler leaving, and the team already light on true wideouts, two more true wideouts make sense even if we keep Dez. It will give us some options come 2019 for both Dez and Williams.

Trade: Tyron smith
Trade: dez bryant (if not possible paycut and cut him in 2019)
Trade: sean lee
Trade: jason witten (if not possible cut him)
Trade: crawford
Trade: scandrik (if not possible cut him)

Resign: hitchens
2nd round tender: Lawrence

This team would be severely hobbled without Ty and Lee. Who or what are we trading for? I’m open to suggestions for the sake of discussion but dayum, that’s a yuuuuge risk...
