Rumors CW: Cowboys reached out to Bengals about trading for $16M LBer

I mentioned him even before he asked to be traded. Even if he has slowed down, still a big upgrade over Murray who I rather see get cut
Honestly.......I think a trade for him has a higher chance of happening before the deadline than any other we have heard. Bringing him in not only upgrades the position but gives Schotty and Jerry a chance to see if they can save Eberflus' job. Remember, he has always had a high-level MLBer for his scheme.

He has played in many big games. Is he a high end starter at this juncture? No, but Murray should be out of the league that is how bad he is.

He could solidify the position and not be a major weakness. Same goes for adding a veteran safety. Don’t have to trade for an elite option, just one who can solidify the position, make sure players know their assignments and be in the right places

They should have drafted Wilson. But I wonder what they are willing to offer the Bengals for him? I doubt it is a first round pick, even, GBs pick would be too much. What about TJ Bass and a day 3 draft pick?

Any version of the Tampa 2 is predicated on a great MLB, CBs that are willing to tackle, and a DL that can pressure the QB with 4.

The fact they tried to implement the scheme without having any of these pieces in place is just buffoonery.

It’s like trying to bake a cake and realizing , oh wait, I don’t have any eggs, flour, sugar, milk or an oven lol

They never have a legitimate plan going into the season. Eberflus has to take some blame though, as he brought in his own guy in Sanborn and he approved trades for Murray/Elam, along with Parsons. We don't need another lap dog to Jerry, but one who will challenge him.

Is Cincy interested in trading him? How much would it cost to get him?

Those are two very important questions before I could be interested/excited for what he could do for our D.
They should. They have a new DC this year that benched him for their 4th round pick. He's asked for a trade and they have at least 3 teams interested.

LOL at trading for middling LB at 16 million with draft capital just to save the job of a crap DC

What a pathetic franchise
