What also impressed me is what Collinsworth said about how Linehan would give him 10 plays and Dak knew that Witten would know them and he didn't want to be chide by him. So he would go home each day and have a throughly understanding of the plays the next day. Eagles coach Pederson said that Wentz reminds him of Peyton Manning in his film study. Dak has been compare to Tom Brady for his work ethic by our strength coach. I am happy that Dak is on our team and hope he has a career like Brady. I am not asking for much but I just want Prescott to win more Super Bowls than Brady.

It's funny how the goalposts keep getting pushed back for Dak. "Well it's just preseason. He won't do that in a real game!" Then he's doing it in real games. "Well, those teams aren't legit." He's putting up points on the scoreboard. "Well those aren't REAL points! He didn't throw it into the endzone!" Dak is legit. Coaches will scheme him, but he's a film buff and he will adjust.
I wonder what they say if cowboys win the next 3 games ?? beat Cin and GB !

The patriots had a similar situation, bledsoe got hurt brady was the bkup, he did good, but not spectacular, but he won games and played smart.
Belichek decided to stay with brady when bledsoe was ready to comeback, and even had bledsoe fill in for one game, then went back
to brady.

Now many here want to go back to our version of bledsoe as soon as he is ready lol.
Brady was a lot like dak, and was a rookie, and turned out he did ok, and led the team to a SB win.
NE had a very good defense that year, so dont expect dak to do that, but it is a similar situation.

I loved that too - about both Dak and Witten. Its the kind of thing that separates the Tom Brady's from the Mark Sanchez's.

A lot of folks, myself included, like to point to stats as a way to measure a player. Dak has been extremely impressive in this regard with one of the best starts in NFL HISTORY by a rookie QB in several key categories. This is HUGE.

However, listening to players and Dallas reporters, I keep hearing how different everything feels this year compared to years past. You don't see Dez blowing up on the sidelines like years past, you see Zeke starting to hit his stride, and you also see an undermanned Cowboys defense doing enough to help the team win. Im not trying to take away anything from their efforts. But Dak and his leadership is a primary reason things are different across the board this year.

Last year when Romo went down the wheels fell off and I got the sense that many Cowboys fans saw the same thing happening this season. However, it didn't because of Dak Prescott. He not only does an extremely good job at his primary duty as QB, but there is zero doubt he elevates the play of everyone around him. I only saw this for 3 seasons at MSU as he lifted an average group of players to the top of the college football world.

Not that I feel the Cowboys are just average players, but I see him doing the same thing now that he did at MSU. Trust me, it is ONLY going to get better.
Didn't i say all preseason, we're about to see what a real field general looks like?

Tap the brakes a bit...at this point, comparing Dak to a HOF QB that will probably go down as the best ever to play the position is a stretch.

I love Dak and am thrilled for the future. I also believe that Romo gives us the best chance to win this season and make a deep playoff run. These aren't mutually exclusive ideas.

If we end up 3-3 after the GB game, people on the "replace Romo train" will be clamoring to have Tony back. Why try to force this decision right now? Let things play out a bit more and take their natural course.

I was just saying the situation is similar.
Let things play out a bit more and take their natural course........I agree, the thing is I am not saying Dak should replace Romo, but I also dont like
the idea, of just handing the qb role to Romo simply cause he is ready.
The next 3 games need to be played, for me to know about Dak, and should he keep going .

Of the many things I love about Dak Prescott are...

- He grew up a Cowboys fan.
- He'll tell anyone his mother was his best friend.
- He is turning down sponsorships because he doesn't want the distraction.
- He is as rugged and powerful as any QB I've ever seen.
- He is a humble leader who inspires his teammates.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Regardless of what any of us think about him, it is very evident he has the buy in from his teammates, especially the likes of Witten and Bryant. This week, he is getting respect from opponents. He is on his way. You can't say you ever heard anything like this about our QBs, maybe not even Kitna.

Yah-- the next 3 games will be interesting for sure. If Dak goes 3-0, the hype train will be on overload. If he goes 0-3, he'll be labeled as "fool's gold".

I think he has shown a ton of promise and poise and gives me great hope for the future after Romo. That said-- I still think Romo can play well, and with his experience and knowledge he gives us our best chance to win in the playoffs this year.

The experience that Dak is getting right now is invaluable and will serve him well in his career.

So Romo is not a leader?
