Wins in a row. Regular season only.
most of these occur in SB years, where dallas went to or won the SB. *(except for the Romo ones)

Staubach holds the record with 8 in a row in SB year
Aikman and Romo have 7 in a row , Romo in 2007 and Aikman in SB year

Now 6 in a row, have been done by Aikman and Romo Stabauch, and possibly others.

I was doing research here, so dont know if there were any qb subs in those streaks.

Dak now has 6 which puts him in the elite status for wins in a row, and if he wins in cleveland
which he should, then he ties Aikman and Romo !
If he wins the next 2 he ties Stabauch, and 3 more and he is the only Dallas qb to ever do this.
Win 9 in a row.

If he ties Stabauch, I wonder if people still doubt him or want to go to Romo this season??

Also winning 7 is a strong indicator it is a superbowl team, with the exception of 2007.

Only strong teams win that many in a row in the regular season.

So if Dallas beats cleveland, that is 7 and then we can see if 8 or 9 in a row happens.

That's interesting that winning this many in a row is usually indicative of a Super Bowl team. What is even more crazy is that this is being done by a Rookie QB and RB. They truly have a chance to make history.

What is even more encouraging is that if this is managed properly by the Cowboys we could be Super Bowl contenders for YEARS. I have faith that they will manage this well!

Great run by the team. And REALLY good sign for possible playoffs.

Let's get this straight though....in truth, QBs don't get "wins"
This isn't tennis

Nice slight at Dak there. Let's go ahead and slight Elliott too, he can't get wins for us either. Same with the OL... They definitely don't get wins for us. :(

They can help get wins...and they are doing a great job of it.

Agreed, just curious why you felt the need to slight Dak when what we are doing is wildly successful. That goes for everyone playing right now.

It wasn't a slight in my opinion.
Just stating the obvious that it's a team game and it gets old when writers (or fans) assign team wins (or losses) to single players. It's a pet peeve with me for all QBs that ever played, not at all a Dak-specific thing.

Teams win, not QBs. Derp.
And QBs are the leader of those teams, what is your point?

My whole reply to this feel good thread was to compliment this team. Why the slights at Dak? Just curious

Fair enough, was just odd that you chose to downplay the QB. Could have just as easily done the same with Zeke. I was equally complimentary to both.

The thread title was about the QB and not the team, Gabe.
This was not a Dak slight, it's just a pet peeve.

Cool... My misunderstanding. I think we can both agree that what is going on is special. Even having Romo involved is contributing greatly. We are set up for MANY years to come.

We all know teams win the games, but I think Dak and his attitude and work ethic, just his poise and the other players
have grown to like him and try harder.
That to me makes it dak specific. he plays a key role.

Well you know most everyone credits the triplets and jimmy for the 90's sb wins.
They dont talk much about the other players.

The QB is a key component, we saw that last year.
Dak has led the team to 6 wins in a row as a rookie, something no other dallas qb has ever done.

Yea you're right. The team last season proved unequivocally that good qb play is vastly overrated. Oh wait.

Dak is playing better than any QB besides Romo last year but last year didn't have Zeke. McFadden is not even comparable. Plus the defense was not playing as well as it is.

Looking through my posts trying find where I said anything remotely like that.
I didn't. Nor ever have

Of course he's incredibly important. And he's been excellent.

Exactly.

They impact the team much more than any other player. But for 50% of the plays QBs aren't even on the field...and they can't block, catch, or play running back.

Still a team isn't going to win 6,7,8 games in a row without good quarterback play, so such a record definitely does mean something.

We don't see Testaverde or Quincy Carter on this list!
