When Zeke went out. Everyone knew that the rest of the team needed to step up without him.

Dak hasn’t stepped up.

Dez hasn’t stepped up.

Witten hasn’t.

Williams hasn’t.

Butler hasn’t.

The OL hasn’t.

Nobody on the offense has stepped up without Zeke. The QB is included in that. But nobody else has either.

Amazingly, it has coincided with teams no longer fearing our running game. It's almost as if they're only focusing on stopping the pass and they'll live with whatever Morris and Rod Smith can muster.

8 games with Zeke: 28 points per game

3 games without Zeke: 7 points per game
We also lost 3 games WITH Zeke. While he is much better than the backs we have, I don't think we've used Morris or Smith enough to even make the attempt to make up for not having Zeke in the backfield. While defenses could fear us less in the running game & focus more on the passing game, it's still up to Dak to protect the ball & as of late, he just hasn't done that. I hope it's a bad trend that vanishes, starting next Thursday.

Witten was open but the pass rush was already there making the pass to Witten unlikely.

Watch the other 29 pass attempts. Nobody is getting open because we don't have a speed WR to threaten teams deep and that doesn't loosen up undernath coverage for Beasley and Witten. And if I see another all 6 route pass play I may just throw my TV out the window.

I think Dak's accuracy has regressed a bit, but we are basically struggling to get him the pass protection and get receivers open.

We basically use our Z receiver like a TE and are clueless on how we want to use Dez. Why we keep having Witten run routes short of the first down marker is beyond me. It's typical Garrett...he builds a team on a house of cards and when there's a kink in the chain he has no answer for it.

Do you have a valid retort for the point of the post?

I just called Dak out for not playing well.

But please enlighten me, on what other players on offense have stepped up. I am dying to hear it.

Give me a break.. you keep throwing it.. once in a blue moon perfect doesn’t establish any rhythm

Dez hasn’t been catching jump balls all year. And he damn sure doesn’t get seperation deep like he used to.

So if he can’t get seperation, and he can’t put muscle defenders for the ball. Explain to me how he is worth 15 mil a year.

And don’t give me the establish a Rythm crap for Dez. He is one of the highest paid WR’s in the league and it is his 8th season in the league. He either makes a damn play or he doesn’t.

So let' say Wentz is a Cowboy.

Who' he handing the ball off too?

Which WR is he throwing to that' not covered like a blanket?

The thing is, at his best Wentz looks like Aaron Rodgers. At his best, Dak looks like Alex Smith. That's the difference.

Really though, the cowboys aren't going anywhere deep until they upgrade the coaching staff.

He’s catching the throws Dak throws at his feet on screen plays..

I'm still supportive of Dak, however the lack of offensive production and TD's without Zeke is discouraging. Don't have faith that they can turn it around this season at least.

Totally. Completely. Agree.

Washington will be there when we draft, and he's a deep threat we desperately need. Too bad that we also need to draft Lee's replacement, too.
