    Yeah well if you think it's bad now just wait until he does get that contract.

    Are you guys kidding me??? Dak went 3-7 outside the pathetic NFC East. He was outplayed by Sam Darnold, Bridgewater, & Trubisky & Allen & Cousins. This is with the 11th ranked Defense and an offense that was completely loaded at every position. Multiple times & every time that Dak does not have EVERY weapon than he struggles. If Amari and Zeke & Smith are not ALL 3 playing than Dak struggles..... I would hate to see what happens if all 3 were missing.

    How many studs on the O line does one need? 3 were pro bowlers.... and the 4th in Collins was the best this year. Jarwin is a stud. Cobb is a stud. Gallup is a stud..... Even with all this Dak could not move the ball, score points, or wins games until garbage time. Down 31-3 to the Packers. Down 21-3 to the Jets.... Bears.... Bills.... etc. I would love to see his stats in garbage time vs. non garbage time. I forgot about Zeke.... Zeke is a stud. Pollard is a stud.

    Better yet give me his stats in non garbage time against decent teams.... not even good teams.... just decent teams.

    For all the pretend Dak homers.... You are showing off how dumb you really are. Do you not get that???

    Watch the games. Dak has all day to throw without even worrying about guys getting close to him coupled with fact that on any given play there would be at least 2 cowboys running down the field wide open.

    At least when Romo went 8-8 he had crappy teams & Defenses..... and played against tougher schedules & tougher rules.

    There is about 7-8 teams in the NFL that are trying to lose. Dallas played most of them this year. Giants twice. Redskins twice. Dolphins. Jets. Really really bad football teams & organizations. Dallas had such an easy schedule this year and had NO injuries.

    When Dallas goes 7-9 or 8-8 next year who gets the blame than? Because Garrett is now gone.

    At Baltimore= Loss
    Cardinals= Loss
    49ers= Loss
    at Rams= Loss
    at Eagles= Loss
    at Redskins= Loss
    at Giants= Loss
    at Seahawks= Loss
    at Vikings= Loss
    Steelers= Win
    Eagles= Win
    Giants= Win
    Steelers= Win
    Falcons= Win
    at Bengals= Win

    If you guys want to be as dumb as Jerry & Stephen than go right ahead. But no one yet has explained to me how with the 11th ranked Defense. And a loaded offense Dallas only went 8-8. The head coach does not permeate the results on the field. Obviously the play calling was good. Moore is still here. Dak was not clutch. The team did not win. And quit blaming Maher. None of the games were decided by 3 points or less. Forbath was a perfect 10 for 10 that offset a lot of Maher's missed kicks. And Maher offset a lot of his own mistakes by making kicks that only a handful of kickers in the NFL have ever made.

    Exactly. From Day 1 there was no reason to be sold or not be sold on Dak. None. Not one good reason except for something that has absolutely nothing to do with how he was playing.

    This right here is a great analysis. The truth will set you free, however, some seem to have no problem remaining trapped in the idea of mediocrity that is Dak. If/When he is paid, his faults will be on display more than they have ever before...

    It's telling when some fans compare a QB to others as if they're playing one on one.

    If Dak is under center next year I fully expect mediocre results and everyone else to get the blame. Were gonna be sitting here in this forum next year having the exact same discussions and in two seasons were gonna see Dak cost another head coach his job. McCarthy will be fired!

    Right. So please, enlighten us as to how long a guy has to be in uniform before we're allowed to have an opinion on them? Does that apply to coaches also?

    I noticed early on (as did others) he has recurring accuracy and location issues on anything beyond 5-7 yards. It's not improved a lot. My beefs with Dak are largely the same now as they were then. As I said, from day 1

    From day 1 everyone should have been ecstatic. The people who weren’t were Romo lovers. I know because I quit being part of that group and started hating the fans they became. We had a 4th round comp pick thrust into the starting position due to injury that was being overly criticized from a group of posters that had spent the previous decade being overly protective of the QB position. They were doing it out of spite only, regardless if there were flaws in a Dak’s game. He wasn’t supposed to be perfect on Day 1 and you guys treated him as if he should have been. And that was even before Romo was replaced so you guys were bashing the hell out of a rookie back up QB who the team was winning with. It was pathetic. So beat your chest about how you were critical on day 1. It proves you had an ulterior motive. Just not sure why you won’t just admit it.

    "They were doing it out of spite, *regardless* if there were flaws in Dak's game"

    So, anyone who noticed any flaws in Dak's game was automatically suspect in your eyes, and on top of that is a liar if they won't acquiesce to your character assassination with regards to their "motives"

    Hey, just curious, any Dak defense out there somewhere? Or is your sole and stated purpose merely to try and fan the flames of a debate over a guy who's been in the broadcast booth for a couple years now?

    I'm just wondering if you'd actually like to discuss the current Cowboys quarterback who's asking for $35+ million a year? I keep trying to get us to that point in the conversation, but for some reason you want to discuss other things. Romo, people who preferred Romo, people who aren't sold on Dak, what makes such people tick, etc.

    Anything but actually discussing Dak himself, or his performance. Very enlightening.

    Yes they were considering the group of individual who saw the flaws and were demanding perfection were the same group of people that would pull excuses out of their *** for every mistake Romo made.

    Now, what would you like to discuss about Dak? I think he is an average QB that would kill the cap if he gets signed to a long term huge contract.

    That said, he far exceeded expectations. He only cost a 4th round comp pick, and and $4 million total over 4 years and we got top 10ish performance for that cost. I don’t care about subjective “carry the team”, “take away this and he wouldn’t do it”, BS. We got top 10 QB production on peanuts salary despite the nitpicking fans have on every mistake. You have already demonstrated you don’t like nitpicking either when I do it to Romo because any player can be nitpicked, so why do it to Dak?

    I agree wholeheartedly with your middle paragraph.

    Problem is, you have set yourself up as the arbiter of everyone's motives with regard to their opinions, and you've unilaterally declared earlier that it is hypocritical and unfair for anyone to mention that Dak would not be good for the team at the money he's asking for. I believe your suggestion was something about nit picking every lass that was 2 inches off target or shutting up? Can't recall for sure but I know we're not supposed to analyze his contract or it's implications. I remember that mandate from on high.... The rest is a bit fuzzy

    So, unfortunately, even when we agree, you've structured the discussion in such a way that we cant even find common ground.

    That's a real shame. I wish you hadn't done that. I hope, at least, that you feel good about attempting to prove your point. Whatever that point was.....

    Huge eye roll on this. But, I now know that you know that I know I am right on your motives for hating Dak. And now you know why I will continue to bash Romo just to remind you how Romo also did things like miss open receivers when you are doing it for the sole purpose of continuing to hate Dak, like you have from day 1. You can’t cowardly try to hide from your motives. I won’t be a liar.

    Cheers, mate!

    RIGHT.......Well being you and your Dak-Employees have put an inept QB above the Star and the only thing that matters to you is Dak and it leaves one to wonder where exactly your loyalties lie?
    Cause its not with the Star!!!!
    Now how does one excuse this abnormal behavior? Supporting such an inept and the most important player who can only excel when playing DOG teams and defenses.
    Sell crazy somewhere else and ya folk has eyes and you and your Dak-Employees no matter how much you sell sell sell Dak, in the end, a lot of our fans are not sold on Dak as neither is Jerry who is unwilling to date to give him an extended deal.
    Now here's a secret as only Dak can shut us up and due to his inept play on the field the screams are getting louder!!
    GL man and why don't you start a DAKZONE site and post there the greatness of Dak!!![/QUOTE]

    Inept would be your ability to analyze a players performance and how other players mistakes effect there performance and the outcome . Fortunately your agenda driven eye test is not the measurable that QBs are judged with. Dak ranks well in the measurable s used by the normal football watching world .

    Whats a shame is most of the players and coaches on this team dont perform their jobs half as well as Dak does his so the end product sucks

    You are the one that needs to start the Dakzone so you can be on it 24 -7 bashing Dak because you bring absolutely nothing constructive to this forum

    That's what you got out of my post?

    You proved your point alright. I'll give you credit for this. You have decided you'd rather bash Romo and anyone who liked him, than talk about the current Cowboys roster and nothing will take you off that blood trail.

    Kudos to you for your dedication.

    Thanks for sitting on high and dictating to the rest of us what motives are acceptable for deciding if we support a player or not. It's a valuable service you're offering here. You should hold out for a market value contract. :laugh:

    One thing I've noticed people saying a lot about Dak is that the team has to be built around him. I really don't think the pieces around Dak are that great. Patrick Mahomes and all the QBs in the playoffs except Wentz have way more time in the pocket, have much better tight ends and have more consistent wide receivers and run game. Not to mention they don't always start within their own 25. I'd like to see how Dak would do in an offense like KC's I feel like it would be special!

    And like the rest of the Gridiron challenged group . A one line post with no facts as to why he should deserve all the hate . Dont be Sorry just sit at the kids table till you are smart enough to watch football and see whats happening in the whole game .
