But on a very general level, you can win with an average-or-better QB as long as the rest of the team compensates. Dak could be a SB champion somewhere else, and he can be a SB champion in Dallas if the Cowboys were run differently. That is the root of the discourse around Dak: he has to outplay his potential or the team fails. The organization is built to be that way and that is a fatal flaw. Dak in Detroit is probably pretty close to mirroring Goff. Dak in Los Angeles would get them to the playoffs like Herbert did. Dak in Houston probably outplays Stroud (I think people are overrating him a bit).
Knowing what you have in Dak and not adjusting what’s around him will be the problem, because Trying to draft a Josh Allen or a Joe Burrow isn’t a realistic alternative.
