Dak is not the guy

The same fans who complain about not winning are the same clueless fans who support Dak ……..

Facts are facts. Dak blows. Anyone at this point making excuses for the loser doesn’t know football
He’s the QB of the Dallas Cowboys therefore I support him. Meanwhile the Dak haters are looking like little whiney girls saying poor me, I deserve better.

then its progress stopper for every team. there is a cap. there is a cap floor. every team spends within that based on cap hit for every player. no more. no less. gauranteed money or no gauranteed money, when you get to a year, you manage the cap. Philly has committed over 240M, which was about 3x more than any other team. and non gauranteed money becomes gauranteed when they decide to keep a player and rework the contract. Dak has a 129M guarantee. Josh Allen 147M. but its about the years in the contract. Jerry for whatever reason put in a couple of years in the backend of the previous contract that were voidable and thus gave him flexibility. for whatever reason he didn't do that this time. stupid of Jerry.

and tell me how its stopping progress.
40M on the cap. who should we have gotten and couldn't?
and they had a chance to move on, but chose not to. Jerry the moron had ZERO QBs under contract for 2025 and gave all the leverage to Dak and his agent.

the fact of the matter is that Jerry doesn't go after FA. we don't spend on FAs. we tend to keep players to the end of their contract, despite performance, so to avoid dead cap as much as possible and not have to pay for a position twice.

the idiot in the room is Jerry. but the anger and hate goes towards Dak. because its possible to get rid of Dak. not possible to get rid of Jerry.

I am not defending Dak, his play or anything else. not comparing. but just on the contract side and personnel management, Jerry is at fault. 100%. when the guy outright, unprovoked says, I want drama, I create drama if there isn't any, then you know where we are.
Your first statement is false. First, the Eagles paid Carson Wentz and IN THE SAME OFFSEASON drafted SB-QB Hurts in the 2nd round. The Cowboys will NOT draft a QB higher than 5th or 6th round due to Dak's contract and their DELUSIONAL FAITH-BASED BELIEF that he will win a SB...or at least keep delusional fans coming to the games.

Second, you drove right past my main point: The ability to float multiple guaranteed contracts AT THE SAME TIME is not solely a cap decision - it's a liquidity cash on hand decision. You can't write a check based on perceived wealth...not a guaranteed one. There must be LIQUID CASH ON HAND to guarantee that contract. That is WHY despite revenue sharing small-market teams with cheap owners don't compete to win like the other teams do.

I could go on but you are lost in winning WITH DAK. Propping up this loser and giving him everything he needs to faceplant in January. I'm done with that show and I don't go to the Church of Dak.

Why Jerry decided against bringing in Henry last year is still a mystery to me.

Cooper Rush went basically 5 (I am giving him the Cincinnati win because of that Penn State cornerback, who let the ball hit him on the kick off and the turnover) and 6 last year…83 qb rating
You’re giving Cooper Rush a win in a game he lost to Cincinnati with only 183 yards passing, a 51.3 completion percentage and an INT? How generous of you. lol You certainly wouldn’t be that generous with Dak. You probably have him marked down for losses in games he won. lol

I support him as well because he is our QB. What else can I do? But it's not up to him to get it done. He has to have support. QBs don't do it on their own. Rodgers won 1 SB and never seen one again. He never had the support. The 49ers got to three SBs with Kaepernick, Garoppolo, and Purdy. None of them go to SBs with the Cowboys. They got there because the 49ers put stacked teams around them, and had great coaching. Something our GM never does.
I 100% agree, the teams are way more than the QB alone. I don't think Dak was setup for success last year and hard to debate that. This year they definitely did more with Pickens, the Booker pick, and seemingly hiring a coach that is more focused on running. I still have concerns about the tackles and if there is enough in the RB room to make this a complete offense, but no doubt on paper this offense is a lot more interesting than last year.

But seriously, what does out GM have in mind? Is he paying Pickens if he balls out? What is he doing? We see Howie Roseman go all out to build a contender. We never see this from the Cowboys.

Can't remember what game by now...not TOO long ago. Dak threw to his right in the flat, and almost got pick sixed.

Then...he ran the exact same play AGAIN..to the same guys...WR and defense players...with the same timing...exact same play. PICK SIX, this time. So weird. Not sure I ever saw such a thing in all of sports.

NOT "the guy".
LOL. I remember that play. It was if he wanted to throw the interception! If at first you don't succeed....

I don't get...what some people don't get...about being able to both "support" the player, and not be 100% happy with him. As if they were never parents? You can love your child to DEATH...literally die for them...and still think they can be idiots sometimes.

I mean WHAT...what is they don't get?

Show me one playoff game where the team played well enough to win, where the OL held up, where the receivers were open and Dak choked. Show me a playoff game where the defense played well enough to win.

If you mean Dak wasn’t super man and didn’t take the team on his shoulders and single-handedly win the game, okay…that’s true for sure. In my opinion, the only team we’ve had even close to being championship quality was 2014 - offense -
Demarco Murray 1800 rushing yards
Romo
Witten
Dez, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley
T Smith
Leary
Fredrick
Martin
Free

Mostly in their prime. Yet that team also crapped the bed. It’s not the QB.
Look no farther than the 2 SF losses. Need Dak to step up what does he do, disappears.

That was the game Murray robbed Romo and fumbled the game away?

Do you still support Jerry because he is the owner and GM of your favorite team?
I feel like that's actually a really good point, and you made me have to think about the double standard.

In my opinion Jerry is much worse. I believe there was at least a time we could've won with Dak. Not sure that holds true now that his wheels are busted.

Jerry though, well he's almost always been an anchor. If it wasn't for a perfect storm I have a hard time believing he'd ever have won anything. But, old Jerry is actually probably worse than young Jerry.

What point have you thought Dak could win 3-4 games in a row in the playoffs? He can barely win one.
We haven’t had a team that could win multiple games in the playoffs since our last Super Bowl team in the mid 90s. There isn’t a QB in the league that could win multiple playoff games with the teams we’ve had the past 2+ decades. Give Mahomes some of the garbage defenses we’ve had in the playoffs and see how well he would do especially with no running game and double digit penalties. You fans that keep pointing the finger directly at Dak are completely lost. Romo didn’t fair any better and neither did Troy Aikman late his career when he no longer had a great team. Aikman was 0-2 in his last couple of playoff games.

Good times are for bandwagon fans, tough times are for true fans. Which bucket do are you in?
You are talking to a lot of people that have been fans for 50-60 years.

And...most people here...now? ...off season and pre season...are likely TRUE fans, in one form or another whether you exactly agree with them or not.

A couple trolls, sure...what else is new. Don't insult all the other good fans about it.

I agree. Just thinking 3 years down the road when the contract is going to expire.
Maybe Jerry will get ahead of the curve and extend him early, elite QB with so many skins on the wall are very hard to find.
