then its progress stopper for every team. there is a cap. there is a cap floor. every team spends within that based on cap hit for every player. no more. no less. gauranteed money or no gauranteed money, when you get to a year, you manage the cap. Philly has committed over 240M, which was about 3x more than any other team. and non gauranteed money becomes gauranteed when they decide to keep a player and rework the contract. Dak has a 129M guarantee. Josh Allen 147M. but its about the years in the contract. Jerry for whatever reason put in a couple of years in the backend of the previous contract that were voidable and thus gave him flexibility. for whatever reason he didn't do that this time. stupid of Jerry.
and tell me how its stopping progress.
40M on the cap. who should we have gotten and couldn't?
and they had a chance to move on, but chose not to. Jerry the moron had ZERO QBs under contract for 2025 and gave all the leverage to Dak and his agent.
the fact of the matter is that Jerry doesn't go after FA. we don't spend on FAs. we tend to keep players to the end of their contract, despite performance, so to avoid dead cap as much as possible and not have to pay for a position twice.
the idiot in the room is Jerry. but the anger and hate goes towards Dak. because its possible to get rid of Dak. not possible to get rid of Jerry.
I am not defending Dak, his play or anything else. not comparing. but just on the contract side and personnel management, Jerry is at fault. 100%. when the guy outright, unprovoked says, I want drama, I create drama if there isn't any, then you know where we are.
