Dak is now 3rd in MVP odds

I really don't care all that much about who wins MVP but the fact that he kept us in games when the defense was so trash should count for something.

I think Dak’s only chance at the MVP would be winning out and an epic playoff run.
Basically the bar for Maye and Stafford is lower to win the MVP..... because they have better teams? :lmao2:

Dak Prescott's always given a weird Goalpost...

The higher he gets, the better our chances ............keep it up Dak!!!!

Dak Prescott Now Third in NFL MVP Odds Empty heading

This season, Prescott has thrown for 25 scores, eight interceptions and 3,261 yards while completing 69.3 percent of his passes.

Dallas may have to run the table to make the playoffs, but if that happens, Prescott deserves a look for the MVP. The Cowboys are in the mix to have the best passing offense in the NFL with Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens leading the way.

While Prescott’s chances of passing Maye and Stafford are slimmer since he doesn’t have a clear path to a No. 1 seed in the NFC, he’s a player worth monitoring after moving from +10000 to +1100.
But number 1 in our hearts...

I hope Dak Prescott plays like the #1 MVP. It will only help the team achieve a postseason berth. That said, I wonder why a thread was needed about his MVP probability if there is not any consideration about him winning the award.
There is consideration.

Teams with much better overall records.

The Cowboys have had the best offense all year. Usually when you have a great offense you also have a pretty good defense. The Cowboys had many injuries on defense and the Micah trade. So they had an awful defense and won far less than a number 1 offense usually does. Now those injuried players are healthy and some new players added and they have good defense giving up a touchdown less a game. 21 points versus 28 points a game. That is huge. And the result is 3-0. It is remarkable that with new coaches Dak did not skip a beat. Just like with Cooper, Dak immediately was clicking with Pickens. Dak has been at the top of the QBR ratings the whole year. And he is 3-0 with a good defense. He is the clear MVP imo.

Since the first week of the season Dak has been at the top or in the top 2 or 3 quarterbacks in the league. He is leading the league in QBR and has been for a months.
There is a reason why Dallas has had the best offense the whole season, and why Pickens has emerged as an elite receiver, after being given away by his previous team. Schottenheimer never had this kind of offensive success until he met Dak. And Dallas has had the best or near the best offense for years now when Dak is healthy. Daks last healthy season, 2023, he was favored to win the MVP most of the season and came in second. He has been MVP level for years.
Correct! ^^^^

It's frustrating to see only me 'like' your factual comment. Bunch of cutthroat fans around here.

This x100%!!! ^^^^

:hammer: :hammer:

No one expected them to go out & actually get a defensive line when we made those predictions though. Without those changes, we aren't at .500 right now.
Very true, hence why we should be giving Jerry and his front office full credit right now. First time in decades they have made such moves to drastically improve our team.

The slow start will prevent Dak from winning. I’m fine with that. I know the award is typically given to a QB with good individual stats on a team with one of the best records. That being said, I never understood how Mahomes was in the MVP race all season. He had worse stats than 10 other QBs and his team was .500 all season.
